I'm changing my intake to a 2 to 1 intake trinity stage IV.I have a 38mm carb . Is that going to be too big?Right now the motor is .040 over has fmf gold series drag pipe,hotrod crank,and a wisco piston,and some port work.what carb would be best?

The single carb. setup will take away topend speed. The twin carb. setup will always be faster.

I SECOND THAT......single carb intake kills top end....more of a bottom end carb...

last time i checked, the banshee was a top end bike....but what do i know, i am a weekend warrior that likes to go in a straight line real fast....

With proper port work you can get a reasonable bottom end and still have a screaming demon top end....nothing against trinity, but how many engine builder recommend the two into one carb....if you want the real facts, call people like packard, a&s, wicked, etc....www.planetsand.com has a boat load of information and the fastest in the world engine builders are on there....

depends on what your trying to achieve. what kind of  riding do you do most. most of these guys have never used one. not trying to step on any toes. but i ran one for a long time. the 35mm is the way to go. the trinity single carb setup make awesome bottom end and pulls hard as h3ll through out the whole power band. i was winning at the sand drags with the setup. and street raced a couple of buddies with dual 35s and spanked there a$$. the 38mm will work but you need some serious port work. i went to the 39mm single after going with a 4mil stroker and drag ported cylinders. so the answer to your question is yes the single carb setup will kick azz if setup right. the only reason i no longer run it is because im now running a 4mil stroker with cheetah big bore cylinders. need lots and lots of fuel.
