I think this is pretty good, I guess we were taking a lot of room on the general section. And like Frank mention, I see Brian as a mod. cool deal.
Thank's

Allright! It's up.

Ask and ye shall receive. Thanks to Mr. Bones for this section.
He did this for free as with any other racing league in Florida. Thank you!!

Looks like it will be quite some time before another QS. We are going to have to attend some HS's!
I am sure the clubs wold love the support.
I missed yesterdays event. I finally got a girlfriend after 4 years and had to do some Christmas thing with her. I never said anything like "this better be good." She made it known she appreciated me missing out on a race. When we got to the show we founsd that the tickets were for TONIGHT!! AAAGGGHHHHH! My heart skipped a beat and stupid me could only think. DANG! I MISSED OUT ON A RACE! CRAP! But I never let it show. I talked with the people hosting the show and they were so cool they let us in anyway. So it all worked out and we had a great time. It was worth missing the race for sure.

okay I'm lying

I hope someone who went to the race will give a report!

Welcome to the club of other obligations interfearing with our mid life racing addiction.
My brother and I went to the race, it was fun as usual. Not a real big quad turnout, I'd guess around 40.  Piper Sr. won AA because Piper Jr., Kiser and 1 other got DQed.  Jimmy Benton blew his engine while duking it out with the flying tomato.  I won Vet, my brother got 2nd in C with Amanda taking 3rd in C. Thats the only results that I remember.
My next race will be the harescramble in Brooksville, it sounds very technical and fun.

WELL BRIAN WE ALL UNDERSTAND, YOU HAVE TO KEEP THE WOMEN HAPPY GOD KNOWS THEY PUT UP WITH ALL OF OUR CRAMP. WENT YESTERDAY AND WAS AN AWSOME COURSE. THE CLUB DONE A REALLY GOOD JOB. THERE WAS A COOL LOOKING ENDURO CROSS SECTION BUT IT WAS FOR BIKES ONLY. ALOT OF WIDE OPEN AND THEN SOME COOL RACING THRU DOG FINNLES THAT WERE AS BIG AS TREE SAPLINGS! RJ AND I WENT THEY WERE FIVE A RIDERS IN OUR CLASS AND I WON!! RJ WAS SECOND RIGHT BEHIND ME. I HAVE REALIZED THAT I HAVE TO RIDE A LITTLE HARDER TO PACE WITH THE A RIDERS. TAYLOR RAN EXTREMELY GOOD AS USALLY. I THINK THEY RETRACTED THERE DQ. THEY WERE ALOT OF DOUBLE GREEN SECTION SOMEHOW THEY MISSED ONE. BUT PIPER JR WAS TELLING US THAT THEY WAS A GUY POINTING IN THAT DIRECTION I DONT KNOW. I CAN ASURE YOU THAT IF THEY WOULD HAVE SAW THEY WOULD NOT HAVE MISSED IT. GOOD RACE THOUGH I HAD FUN!! Were you lying about the whole deal or just the worth missing the race for sure part? And be happy, even if you miss a race or two you can always ride on non race weekends. Im watching my machine dissappear in front of my eyes piece by piece. I get parts on the thing and my son breaks his bike and abra cadabra more of my bike is gone. By the end of the season i'll have nothing left. Its like a nightmare I cant wake up from.

Good reports!!
I am sorry to hear about Jimmys engine coming apart. He rides hard and rides to win.
Slam1-the second part  LOL!
It is cool that they found a new piece of land to have races on for sure!!
So it was a fun track?

Yes, I forgot to mention the endurocross section. I was excited about there being one because I like technical sections. It was very dissapointing when in practice they wouldn't let quads ride it. It was fun watching the bikes doing it in practice though, they were busting their azzes. It wasnt a very long section but they should have given EVERYONE the option of doing it or bypassing. Quad discrimination.

If you didn't go you missed  a good one!!!  OSDR really put the effort in on this one especially to be their first race. The bad luck followed me again this weekend but still had fun.Low turnout for quads.. maybe 40 or 50. I think the vet line was the biggest row. Since I'm still a youngun  I can't ride vet in hare scrambles so I had to ride open b.
I had to turn my plates around and use a sharpie to make #'s. No big deal. Start getting ready for practice and realized my wife packed one of my boots and one of my sons boots. BIG DEAL!!!!! ( Brian, if you ever ask your new girlfriend if you can go racing and she says "sure I'll even pack your stuff"  check your gear for sabotage!!!)So I borrow  some boots from Kurt that owns Atlantic Moto Sports in Jax. Ok now we have boots so no big deal. Realize left tie rod  end is about to fall apart. ANOTHER  BIG DEAL!!  Actually had tie rod ends with me so no big deal.
Thought at practice that I was down on power but thought maybe I'm just getting older and fatter so didn't really  think much about it. Get back from practice  and checked coolant. Bone Dry!!Put in some engine ice and thought that maybe I had a bad head gasket but decided not to put much thought into it because I drove too far not to race. Let's run it till it pukes!!!
Get ready to race and no camel back, ( goes back to check your gear). Get to the line only one other open b!!! Some kid nicknamed the flying tomato. Now with only 2 people you have to race the whole race right? Can't let the other guy put too much time on you because there is no one to blame for holding you back and people will  realize your just old and slow!!!! They gave out holeshot awards and the tomato has a kickstart so I'm thinking "I got this". Hit the button , fires up and dies. Look over he's still kicking!! Hit the button fires up and dies... he's still kicking!!!Fire up a third time and take off trying to pull a wheelie, not enough power to even get the front end up but I still beat the kicker!!  Tomato ran me down quik but I made the ole 450 about 20 feet wide. Held him off for a lap then let him by thinking he would slow down and not push me into getting tired. Wrong, tomato rides like a madman!!! I stayed back a little waiting for a mistake, he blew a corner and I took the lead. We come down a big embankment into a mud section and he puts a tire to me.k I'm thinking  wow this is getting serious so I get on the gas and about 2 miles later the motor let go. I know it had oil in it because it all came out through the air box!!!
Only 2 of us so I still trophied and got the holeshot award!!!!
Sunday a guy needed a radiator hose so I told him to take one off my quad. It looked like the lower hose was the best fit and when he pulled it loose there was no coolant coming out. Guessing I was spot on with the head gasket theory.
Raced on 2 wheels Sunday afternoon and got 5th in c200 out of maybe 20 people. 1 holeshot award and 2 plaques in 1 weekend!!!
The track had a little of everything. Some tight twisty, wide open, some mud, and some really powdery sand. The enduro x  would have been a blast on the quad. I did it in practice on the bike and all three race laps.
The club did an awesome jod Sunday rerouting lap after lap in the mud sections because the ruts got bad. There were bikes seat deep in ruts!! Next lap would be totally different line through the woods.
This season I  have 1 win and 5 dnf's.My luck is so bad if it were raining women all I would catch would be the clap!!!!!!!!!
