The fastest mxers in Florida are Jeremy Lawson, Matt Bremer, Chris Bowen, Josh Williams, Rastrelli, Neal McGrath, Jake, Thacker, and the fastest 50 quad in the country is Alex Hammond.  He won both the 2007 GNC and WPSA Chamionships.

I'd have to say that retired racer Chris Williams #188 is one of the fastest riders in Florida.  He won the GNC 16-24 class Championship this year and the WPSA 16-24 class Championship last year.  He also won last seasons SSQSA  A and Money Class Championship.  Then he came out of retirement for the last SSQSA race in Live Oak placing 3rd in the first moto and won the second moto for an overall of 2nd place.  Not bad, for not riding a quad in three months.  LOL

Lets not forget about Devin Heimes #7,  he's is on the mend but is definitely one of Floridas fastest riders.

Florida really does have an endless amount of excellent riders and we should show great results at the 2008 nationals.  Good Luck to everyone.

The Florida rider who did the best in WPSA for 2007......  Josh Williams out of Okeechobee, FLorida placed the best out of all the Florida riders in the WPSA Pro Am class.  Josh finished the year in top 5 for WPSA Pro Am class!!!  He also placed in the top 5 in the WPSA 16-24 class for the year in 2007.  He was the only florida rider to place in the top 10 in WPSA Pro Am or the WPSA 16-24 class this year!!    Grin
We do have some of the fastest riders in the nation from Florida and every one of them has amazing talent and potential to go as far as they want in this sport  Smiley

There is a lot of tallent in FL.  Why don't we just settle this.  The SSQSA will be starting up November 25th at Lakeland Quick Track.  Going to be some great racing.  Most of these guys will be at these races.  Come on out if you feel lucky!

I was going to say what Brett said.  Show up to the SSQSA races this winter and put your money up and let see what happens.  We can sit here all day and say this person is the fastest or that person is the fastest, but there is more to it than being fast.  You can be the fastest person in the world, but never finish a race because you wreck all the time.  Josh Williams is fast and did good this year, but some of the fastest riders in Florida didn't get a chance to race due to injury.  Matt, Bowen, and Devin were all out due to injury.  These riders would have been in the top 5 or 3 without a doubt.  Matt was 2 seconds a lap faster than Greg Gee the week before AL before he broke his shoulder.  Greg just got a Can-am factory ride.  Is Greg Gee faster than our Florida riders, hell no, but he had no injuries and finished consistant.  MX is not drag racing.  There is a whole lot more than just being fast.  Everyone needs to show up to our quad series and lets show these tracks that we have the numbers too like the bikes and that Florida has some the FASTEST racers in the country.

Speaking of numbers......have any of the MXr's paid attention to the TT race that was held last weekend. I read one of the threads and they had 120 entries!  Our record is 111!  Sad I KNOW There are more MX riders here than TT. I also know that I haven't exactly signed up to race and have no real room to pregnant dog, but I think we can definately out do them!  Cool

I saw Neal McGrath at Croom 1 day.  at 1st i though it was jeremey mcgrath looking at the trailer but neal was in small print haha  I thought nothing of it other than he must have big bucks to have a rig like that.

Personally I do not know who is the fastest after Lawson. I do know if you put Matt, Devin, Chris B, Chris W, Josh, Jake, Jeffery, Neal, Lyndon and a few others just as fast on the same gate, it is going to be some great racing.
Let's just hope everyone's quads and bodies hold up through the series. This series should make all these fine young men faster than they are today. Everybody get their video cameras ready or better yet come see it in person.

I believe he would fall in that "others just as fast" category. There are more I did not name that I hope show up at the SSQSA.

He has done a race.  Pax Track our first race.

There may even be other pros that do some of our races.  We will just have to see.

He was out for the practice at the AmpXtreme race, but didn't come back for the race Sunday. Man was he fast, being able to stand in the middle of the track and watch him was a treat. Every move he made looked so calculated and perfect. I watched him hit the step up from the ski-jump probably a dozen times, and lap after lap every time it was exactly the same. Superb riding for sure.

"Will Lawson even race a SSQSA race?"

I think he will. I talked to him after our race at AMP, and he said it was because of the contract stuff he had going on at the time. Although I imagine it will be hard for him to explain if he gets hurt running a race that he's not under contract to race. He is really fast though. His practice times were about 2 seconds faster than the money class race times at our track!
