Another addition to the family... somewhat anyway  Wink  . This thing is huge and rips! The sound of the motor reminds of a 2stroke dirtbike. It also runs off of pump gas and 2 stroke oil. My wife wants to kill me but I say it's money well spent  Wink  .

This is a hightop size 11.

Longer than the vaccuum cleaner.

They're selling them for alil over $1000 after taxes. But I got a deal on mine for $850. It's a bit higher than the average Nitro car. But when you factor in paying $3.00 a gallon for your pump gas as opposed to paying $25 a gallon for Nitro fuel. You're going to save yourself money. Also, a full tank of gas on this will run for about 35-40 minutes as opposed to 15-20 on a Nitro.

Very cool car.  Swamper, that particular model is more expensive than most.  It's larger scale, more features.  The average nitro buggy can be had for $200-$400.  Of course, aftermarket upgrades can run into the thousands.

Yeah, Nitro is real expensive and if your going to run the car alot it doesn't last that long. Plus, you spend ALOT of time on maintnance with the nitro cars. I've run this thing twice so far today and I'm still on the same tank of gas. This thing is alil monster. I roosted myself by mistake and felt some dirt go in my eyes. She's alil timid on the bottom end. Once I run her through a full tank I'll lean her out alilm more and a pipe is a must. Mid and topend she pulls strong even with the stock pipe.

Found out that the motor is a Chung Yang 23cc. As far as which is faster, out of the box my Savvy did 45mph. This does 40mph out of the box. On the road the nitro car would be faster. Across rough terrain the 5b is going to outperform the Savvy or any other Nitro because of handling. At high speeds the 1/8th scale would be really hard to keep upright and wouldn't outperform something this big. I can run this buggy full throttle with no problems where my son rides his quad.

Thanx! I got rid of my Savvy because of issues like that. I fix something and something else needs to be worked on. Plus the Nitro was too expensive. I've run this car 3 times today and only had to put gas in it twice  Clapper .

Yeah, I think I single handedly paid for EHZ to move into their new building, just from aftermarket and replacement parts for my savage. I love the rc buggies and trucks and hope to buy a different one sometime.... Of course I am going to Lake Wales Airport this weekend to watch the R/C trubine jets so I may get new ideas, lol.... They will be there Thurs-Sun.. your little one might like it, free admission and 200mph+ r/c jets that sound like the real deal.

Thanx for the info Rebel  Wink  . I ordered a K&N style filter with the K&N pre-filter with it. I'll add the X Can exhaust in a couple of weeks. When I need my topend redone I'll tear it down and may go alil bigger.

Having one of those would be nice! I'd probably never get to fly it because of crashing it in to the earth all the time. You need to get yourself one of these 5b's so we can bash together. Another friend of mine came by the house today (He has 9 nitro cars/trucks) and says he DEFINITELY getting him one. I guess because they're so expensive not many peeps have them  Undecided  .

I need to come by and see it run sometime. Althought I don't know if I need to find anything to spend money on.

There used to be a few guys around that ran 1/4 or 1/3 scale gas powered cars. They are like 5 feet long. Haven't seen them in a while though.

Yeah, just let me know. I need to post some vids of it running. A 1/3rd scale car would be awsome! Where did they run them? I can only imagine how expensive they were  Undecided  .

They were pretty cheap. They used old go cart frames and motors, just added some radios and fiberglass bodies. They ran them on gocart tracks.
