What about on site camping for us that have long drives ? It would be nice to come up on saturday and camp so we dont have to get up at 5 am and drive , stay till 5:30 and drive home beat. And what about riding the back area on saturday ? That would be cool !

just my opinion you guys are hurting yourself bad by not opening on sat. atleast the sat before a race alot of guys who take racing serious and have a love for it come out to test and tune ...especialy the open expert guys cause of the money class if you cant open on sat i would say open a couple times during the week.Like bartow the make a killing on sat they have 2 days i say open on sat just shut practice down a few hours early to smooth the track back out who cares what the mx or the other tracks look like come sunday.unless your racing the mx track sunday just shut the tt track down a little early sat and groom it i think alot of people (especialy next season)would like to come out on sat to test and tuen there bikes i dont know just my 2 cents

I agree as well. Alot of the reasons for keeping a bike together and running longer is the ability to test and tune before race day! As everybody knows, that has been a huge problem for me this year! Open it for a short period on Saturdays or throughout the week! When you guys get lights then you can open on weekday nights and make some pretty good coin! just my .0000000000000000000002 cents!

Hey I agree with everyone else. I also think the track should be open on Saturday. Atleast the Saturday before the race. Me personally I love coming down on the Saturday before the race so that I can learn a few new tricks for Sunday. Shoot if you don't think it works just look at where I have been placing & then look at last Sunday's results. 1st, 1st, & then 2nd behind Thacker. NOT BAD FOR ONLY RACING 5 TIMES ON THE TRACK !!!!!!!!! My opinion anyway.
If you don't want everyone on the track on Saturday just the people that race on Sunday have a practice day before the race.

Bartow had 8 riders there Saturday we had about 25 or 30 we only have races 2 times a month the track is open for pactice the other 2 Sundays is that not enough time. Let me know. we need more than 20 people out there to even start the equipment up much less the food and the flagers it takes more people to run the track than what shows up for pactice.
THE NEW POINTS ARE NOW POSTED ON THE WEB SITE Thanks for your input

lol if bartow only had 8 riders sat its a new record i have never been there on sat and saw less than 20 riders
ok here is what i think sandmountain needs to change or inprove on for next season if you guys want to attract and keep riders
1-Get a rubber band i mean i set there and realy watched the 3 open class starts and yes mr brandon thacker jumps everyone by atleast a bike length on the start that is not very fair he does it alot(yes you brandon) i got videos of him doing it alot worse than 1 bike not only him but severel riders
i would be willing to pitch in to buy a rubber band so its fair again
2-change the format of like the beginner if there are 15 16 riders instead of doing a 2 moto race then a final moto do like supercross split it up into 2 heats top 2 or 3 out of each heat goes onto main and run a lcq alot less wear on the bikes i am saying this cause open expert next season will have about 15 or 16 people i can count racing in it ...so i dont think a single guy in it isnt running a built motor and running 3 hard motos a day is hard on a built motor i mean if you have to run lcq then u should have rode better ,etc it would be your fault as it is now you got to run 3 moto's hard
these are just opinions dont take them as i am trying to tell you guys what to do thats not it at all.I am just tryin to make sandmountain a place were most of the fastest guys in florida run it has came soooooooooooooo far and i think you guys can do a few mor ethings and make it a magnet for riders

I dont think there needs to be a bubber band I think there needs to be a light. just my .02 cents. but on the other hand there is aalways room for improvement I feel the money I spend down there has been put to use because there is always something new done every time I go down there . so I also have toi say thank you for a great place to race and lets get that sand drag going

Brandon, bring them videos please. I video every race and I just went back and double and triple checked the starts. Even the one he and Carl took off on Dale's hand was coming down. So come on and show me the videos please. I do agree that a rubber band or gates would be better for the starts but just because that quad is coming out of the hole good don't accuse him of cheating. That is not very nice of you!!!

Dale,
Brother man! I aint saying its every time, but he does jump the flag a little! I do it to (which is what Brandon meant by "other people to") so I really cant say nothing! But if you remember, we had a restart after he jumped! So go back and look at all your videos, Im sure you'll see what everyone is talking about, and Im sure you'll see me doing it too!! Why do you think that I always get a good Holeshot even when Im on slower bikes than everyone else.
I dont care myself, im just saying that Brandon is not trying to be mean hes just being truthful! The way I look at it is "IF YOU DONT LIKE IT STAY YOUR WEAK AZZ IN THE BEGINNER CLASS"
HOW YA LIKE ME NOW BRANDON!!!?? [smiley=box.gif]

So it sounds to me like that the time the flagers hand starts to drop some racers take off is that why the light is an advantage. If this is the case i will look at the lights we have and see if we can get them going by next season. Maybe some people think you should take off when the flag is all the way down and others take of on the movement of the flag. I print all of your ideas and let Dale know so this is all good.

Everyone is chiming in on the starting issue so here is my thought...dade City flat track uses a traffic light to start their events and it really works because the light is either green or it is red and you can't predict when it will change. In the last several months I have only seen twice where someone jumped the start. The penalty is that rider then has to start at the rear for the restart.
And one other thing...many of us are really tired of the long haul to Umatilla, please open Sand Drags!!!

The sand drag is next we opened the MX track way to soon we would like for everything to be ready before we open. We have a several traffic lights but we were not ready to put them up yet. I guess we are now. Thanks

the light idea isnt gonna solve anything u can still jump a light unless you got it like drag racing were u can redlight but since you got so many guys that wont happen rubbe rband is better the pro's use rubber band start for tt it make's it fair for all riders.the light will still have people jumping i promise ya

People don't usually jump on a light system because you never know when it is going to turn. If they do jump you will really see it.
Check your pm sandmountain.
