I just returned from the meeting and there are good thing to report and bad things.  First the bad thing.  As everyone knows, the state is in a budget crisis.  They attempted to raid the T. Mark Schmidt trust fund. Jack Terrell from NOHVCC and the motorcylce industry lobby Wynn Peebles were able to stop it this time.  EVERYONE needs to get in touch with their State Legislators and tell them to k eep their hands off.  The good news is that m ore County govt are stepping forward to see if they can develop areas.  Besides Baker County, Sant Rosa County is going to develop an area northeast of Whiting Field.

AAGGGHHH!! This kills me.
Not only does the state wants to rob us, but the fact that this meeting took place without the FTR membership even knowing. Or knowing the outcome.
Thanks Grizzley Bear. Did you happen to hear of any future meetings?

Here is a novel idea, why don't they cut back on the large expenditures made for the bicycle people and the leaf lickers?  I see nothing but long expanses of bike paths being built around here.  And the spandex wearing yahoos STILL ride on the road instead!!!  In fact, they ride anywhere they want without fees.

It is an open meeting on Jan 30th.  We do not have a specific location yet.  I will post it about 2 weeks before the meeting when they let me know.
