On Saturday October 13th the Marbury Dirttrack will hold a king of quad dirttrack racing for 2 classes of quads. The only difference between classes is tires.

Stock tire class is $50.00 to enter & $500.00 to win, with 10 entries.The payout will be 100% reguardless.
Slick tire class is $50.00 to enter & $500.00 to win, with 10 entries.The payout will be 100% reguardless.
General admission is $10.00.

The king of quad dirttrack will be a late model format. When you sign up you draw a # this will be your qualifying position. You will get 2 laps and the fastest will count. You will get hotlaps before you qualify.There will be 2 pole awards for the pole sitters sponsored by Bamaquad Motorsports.

This is how it will play out:
 Since the track is so small we will only be taking the 16 quads for the main events. You'll see why only 16 in a minute. With this being a late model format we will qualify every quad for the 2 classes. We will take the top 8 qualifiers for each class and lock them in the show.The quad with the fastest time will get the fasttime award. Then the top 8 will have a 10 lap dash for cash and however you finish the dash is where you start 1st - 8th.

The ramaining qualifiers will be divided into heats(# of heats depend on # of quads) and we will take the top 3 if we have 2 heat races, which gives us 14 and then a hooligan race for the last starting spots.

The quads that do not make it into the show will run a concellation race for 25% payout. So if there are 10 quads in the concy race they will run for $125.00 to be paid out to 1st - 3rd.

Examples with 30 quads buying for 16 spots in the main show:

30 quads @ $50.00 = $1500.00
16 for the main show = $800.00 = 100%
14 for concy race = $700.00 - 75% = $175.00 for 1st - 3rd
Remaining $525 goes to main event participants, which = $525.00 + $800.00 = $1325.00

Hope I did the math right:
1st = 500
2nd = 125
3rd = 75
4th - 16th = $52.00

You get your entry money back for making the top 16.

   Is this a 1/4 mile track?

Is the clay wet is those pics or is it always that red?

What time is registration, practice, green flag, etc?

What else races at this track?

The track is wet, you can see the shiny water spots and water lines on the clay near the edges of the track.....

.....oh, and you can see the water truck on the track spraying water in picture #2. Grin

1/4 mile isn't even close? It's an 1/8 cuz. The track is very small but dang is it fast.
The water truck is wetting down the track when I took the pics, but the track stays red all night with a blue groove in the middle. This clay is unique. it's full of sand. I have never seen a clay dirttrack with this much sand in it. Track opens @ 4, register between 4:30 and 6, practice will be held between 7 & 8, (for slicks only) & time trials will start @ 7:30 approximately. All the stock tire quads will have to wait until all the kart races are over.

all events will be something like this:

7 practice, 15 laps slicks only and karts
7:30 time trials for slicks
8 heat races for karts
8:30 dash for cash 1-8
8:45 quad heats
9 hooligan race
9:15 kart mains
9:30 concy race for slicks if we have one
9:45 stock tires practice
10:00 stock qualifying
10:30 dash for cash 1-8
10:45 heat races
11:00 hooligan race
11:15 slick feature
11:45 stock feature

All the heat races and hooligan races depend on # of quads. If we have around 16 in each class & no more you will start where you qualify after the dashes for 1-8.

Just wondering if anybody was going to make it this weekend? I thought the karts were going to be there but only the quads. There is an open practice this Friday and race Saturday if anybody wants to know.
