Somebody from California apparently wrote the top part, but somebody from FLORIDA came back.
Don't ask just read.

CALIFORNIA:

- I can wear sandals all year long

- I go to the Beach - not "down to the shore"

-Our chicks are WAYYYY hotter than yours. Well...Miami can hang.

- I say "like" and "for sure" and "right on" and "dude" and "totally" and "peace out" and "chill" and "tight" and "bro" and I say them often

- I know what real cheese & avocados taste like

-Everyone smokes weed and its no big deal

-We'll roll up 40 deep when something goes down.

-I live next door to Mexicans, but we call them American's!

-All the porn you watch is made here, cause we're better and thats how it is

- I don't get snowdays off because theres only snow in Mammoth, Tahoe, Shasta, and Big Bear

- I know 65 mph really means 100

- When someone cuts me off, they get the horn and the finger and high speed chase cuz we dont f**k around on the road

- The drinking age is 21 but everyone starts at 14 (legally 18 if you live close enough to the border)

- My governor can kick your governors ass

- I can go out at midnight

-You judge people based on what area code they live in, and when asked where you're from, you give your area code

- I might get looked at funny by locals when I'm on vacation in their state, but when they find out I'm from California I turn into a Greek GOD

- We don't stop at stop signs... we do a "california roll"
No cop no stop baby!

- I can get fresh and REAL Mexican food 24 hours a day

- All the TV shows you "other" states watch get filmed here

- We're the Golden State. Not the Cheese State. Not the Garden State.....GOLDEN!!!

- We have In-N-Out (Arizona and Vegas are lucky we share that with them)

- I have the most representation in the House of Representatives, which means MY opinion means more than yours, which means I'm better than you [geez.... hahaha]

- The best athletes come from here

*******IF YOU'RE FROM CALIFORNIA, REPOST THIS*************IF YOU'RE NOT, GO SIT IN A CORNER AND CRY******

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

FLORIDA:

Ahem... So.. Um.. yeah... I read this, and thought I would reply...

Hey... California listen up... FLORIDA is where its at!

- I too can wear sandals all year long... plus I can put on boots to stomp a mudhole in your ass and I won't even stick out.

- You may be able to go to the "beach" instead of the "shore"... but can you go to "CHECKERS"Huh What now surfer boy?

- You're chicks aren't way hotter than ours... they are almost equal... and thats only due to silicone, saline, botox, lasers and hair dye... We have the real ones and they can beat yours up.

- We're taught to say "Yes Sir" and "Yes Ma'am" and respect our elders because of it. We also say "Howdy" and "fixin" and "Yall" are pretty much recognized right away anywhere in the world Smiley We're famous

- You may know what real cheese and avocados taste like... but I know what 100% Grade A Angus Beef tastes like. Who wants avocados and cheese when you can have steak and potatoes?

- Haha... who do you think grows the weed and sells it to you?

- Why roll 40 deep when something goes down if 5 corn fed country boys can get the job done...

- I live next door to Americans, but we call them Mexicans

- Why would you brag about not getting snow days off?

- We're smart enough to know 65mph means 65, but our speed limit is 70.

- - When someone cuts me off, they get run over by my big ass truck, then I give them the finger and tell them to go back to California.

- The drinking age is 21, but if you aren't chasin the beer by 1 yr old... you're behind.

- You can go out at midnight? Thats nice, I haven't even come home by then.

- Ok... you said,"You judge people based on what area code they live in, and when asked where you're from, you give your area code" and as hard as I try I have no idea what you're talking about... I think you're watching too much tv.

- Yeah, you'll definitely get looked at funny when you come to visit but we have another name for you pretty boys, and its not Greek, its French.

- Of course you don't stop at stop signs... none of you can drive.

- You can pick up Real Mexican food 24 hours a day huh... well I can swing by Home Depot and pick up 24 Real Mexicans anytime of day. Can you say catering?

- You can keep your golden state... We're the Sunshine State...the one and only!! So pregnant dog please

- Football is a religion, not a sport

- In Florida, football means football, not soccer.

- Florida is the best! (home of the Florida Gators 2006 Football and Basketball National Champions!!!!!!) GO GATORS!!!!!!!!

Come on Florida Show Your Colors! Repost!

IF YOUR FROM FLORIDA N PROUD RE POST as " i'm from FLORIDA"
Somebody from California apparently wrote the top part, but somebody from FLORIDA came back and put them in there place at the bottom. And whoever that was, GOD BLESS YOU! and God bless FLORIDA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brooklyn isn't that tough Grin.  There are soooo many kids at my school that think they are badass because they lived in Brooklyn until they were 2 or 3.  Whenever they tell me that I'm like Rolling on the Floor Laughing

Oh yeah.  And I love the oh so popular "Florida sucks, its so gay and boring" coming from New Yorkers.  Umm, hello... GO BACK!  I have been threatened so many times by someone from New York it's pathetic.  Some said they would shoot me, jump me, etc...  Hasn't happened yet.  Not dissing New Yorkers though.... well yes I am. sorry but I came here 2 1/2 yrs ago and have pretty much had enough.  I'm ready to go back to Colorado and the rocky mountains.  There are some pretty terrific people living here in Florida, but the professionlism in my trade is horrible, the cost of living is about the same as Denver, and I make about a third of what I made in Denver.  I've made some good close friends here and love the winter sun but sorry to say,  Colorado is safer for my 9yr old.  Better schools, better economy, better professional tradesmen, better drivers (darn new york drivers!)   Angry   and lots more things to do that doesn't cost a fortune.  Better dirt bike riding with the bonus of snowmobiling in the winter.  Florida is a great place,,,,,to vacation but not to live.

OK,  Let the Hate Mail replies roll. LOL

California would be the clear winner if they didn't have the massive illegal problem there....and if the ocean wasn't so damn cold!

Something tells me most of the people ragging on it have never even been there.

I would rather walk to California from my house in Florida than spend five minutes in the best hotel in New Yark. Wink

I used to think the same way, but after staying in NYC for a few nights I don't. That place is awesome, everyone we came across was very nice, and courteous. The subway was a lot better than I thought it would be. Of course this was Manhattan, and we never went into the other boroughs, so I can't comment on them. I can't wait to go back. Only downside is they don't know how to cook breakfast. We finally went to 1 restaurant that served "home fries" and ordered them. They were served cold with all sorts of vegetables in them. On our last day we found out the breakfast buffett at the Marriott we stayed at had biscuits and gravy.

It has been some years since I visited NYC. Hopefully things have changed for the better, but the influx of New Yorkers hitting South Florida tells me probably not. I hate tall buildings and crowds.
My buddy goes to time square every year for new years eve, and swears I would love it and it is a great place..I tell him he needs to visit El Segundo and take a drive up the PCH. Different strokes for different folks..

I put that "darn new york drivers"  part in there because I was kidding around with NYRaptor.  I always tell him he drives agressive.  Tongue

As far as going back home Rebel ss/t.  I am pretty much planning on it, but one of the downers about Florida it seems is with the pay so incredibly low, once you arrive, you have to work and save for what feels like an eternity to be able to afford the cost of moving again.  As of now, I plan on having my 3rd grader finish this year and try to move back this coming May.  I moved here because I was sort of "duped" into it.  My dad lived here and really wanted my son and I to move here from Co. because he was sick and lonely.  He went on and on about how great the jobs were and the economy and bla bla bla.  Turned out, he just told me whatever had to be said in order for me to move.
I'm glad I did move because I got to spend about 8 months with him before he died April 26th 2006. My son also got to know his Grandpa.  We did a lot of fishing before he passed.  But now he is gone and my boy and I are here all alone with the entire rest of my family back in Denver.

I'm not hating all of the Florida living.  There are some great things about it.  But when I finally get back to the rockies, I will then appreciate where I'm at a lot more than I used to.  It will be sad to move away from a couple of real true friends but they have told me they wouldn't mind moving back to their home state also.

i thought this was cool from my aunt. this is not against florida in any way!!!!
it has to do with 9/11/01.

I am a New Yorker
I do not live in the five boroughs or on the Island or Upstate
I may live hundreds or thousands of miles away
Or I may live just over the GW Bridge
But I am a New Yorker

I am a New Yorker
Whatever took me out of New York:
Business, family or hating the cold
did not take New York out of me.
My accent may have faded and my pace may have slowed
But I am a New Yorker

I am a New Yorker
I was raised on Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and Rockefeller Plaza,
The Yankees or the Mets (Giants or Dodgers)
Jones Beach, Coney Island, Rockaway Beach or one of the beaches
on the sound
I know that "THE END" means Montauk.
Because I am a New Yorker

I am a New Yorker
When I go on vacation, I never look up
Skyscrapers are something I take for granted
The Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty are part of me
Taxis and noise and subways and "get outa heah" don't rattle me
Because I am a New Yorker

My relatives got to this country via Ellis Island and chose to stay
They were New Yorkers

People who have never been to New York have misunderstood me
My friends and family work in the industries, professions and
businesses that benefit all Americans
My firefighters died trying to save New Yorkers and non-New Yorkers
They died trying to save Americans and non-Americans
Because they! were New Yorkers.

buzzardman,
I totally understand where your coming from, I worked w/ a guy that grew up in Denver & he moved here about 10 yrs. ago & didn't like it but his wife did. he got divorced & moved back about a month ago, he always talked about CO., how it could be a little hot but you could drive up to the mountains & it would be snowing (pretty cool)
He worked for a company called Arvada Hardwood Floors but Home Depot bought that company & ruined it.

Anyways it's good that you & your son got to spend time w/ your father (priceless).
2 weeks after my friend moved back his sister passed away, so he was glad he seen her before that happened, he hadn't seen her in almost 15 yrs.

i'm gonna go check that place out someday, I've lived in Tampa all my life, don't know what it's like anyplace else.

As far as NYC, I'll keep my comments to myself, I do have a lot of friends from Long Is.(LK. Ronkonkomo), they so they'll never move back.

I like what Hank Jr. has to say about the place though (send me to hell or NYC, it'd be about the same to me)

Wherever we live, whatever we do, whoever we are
There are New Yorkers in every state and every city of this nation
We will not abando! n our city
We will not abandon our brothers and sisters
We will not abandon the beauty, creativity and diversity that New York represents
Because we are New Yorkers
And we are proud to be New Yorkers

I can try to make it, it is best on a weekday, just don't care for that place to much, it's OK on a dirt bike but the trails are a little tight
& I can't find a place to get my quads into 5th gear, lucky to get in 4th, more like 2nd,3rd,2nd,3rd,2nd,3rd.

I'll see what my work schedule is like, there are a few good places there & always the pit to play around in.

Thanks for askin.

I might be movin' to Montana soon
Just to raise me up a crop of
Dental Floss

Raisin' it up
Waxen it down
In a little white box
I can sell uptown

By myself I wouldn't
Have no boss,
But I'd be raisin' my lonely
Dental Floss

If heaven aint alot like DIXIE
I'd just as soon stay home

just send me to hell or New York City
it would be about the same to me

I've got wild honey trees & crazy little weeds
growin around my shack
These dusty roads ain't streets of gold

But I'm happy right were I'm at.
