I remember this thread from a couple years ago, and thought I would ressurect it, since I really need the business. This has been a terrible summer.

I own a small printing business in Davie, (near Ft Lauderdale,) We do all sorts of printing, anything on paper. I will ship anywhere, and can most likely save you money on all your printing needs. Give me a shout, and I'm sure we can beat the competition!!

Actaully, I should probably get into that right now because the Mortage business is really tough lately. I am an Accunt Executive for a wholesale Mortgage lender. My wife and I are both licensed Mortgage Brokers and can do any kind of mortgage loan from construction loans to cashout refi's to purcchses to reverse mortgages (which are becoming VERY popular for people 62 or older).

I work at a Title Insurance company here in Sebring Heartland Title Insurance.
We do closings on houses and refinances. We have also slowed down since the bubble popped.

I run a small (3 employee) business.

Kelly Bonsall Hardwood Flooring, I lay the hardest wood ever,  J/K

We mostly Sand & Refinish Hardwood Floors, we hook our sanders up to a vacuum, they call it "dustless"
Work all over the Tampa bay area, new consruction slowed down a little, retail is picking back up in the last couple weeks.
Luckily I do a lot of Insurance work, pipes will always break, & roofs will always leak (water damage)

We don't install much prefinished floors like at Home Depot, we do mostly 3/4" solid, site-finished, the type of wood floor thats been around for a 100 years & will be around for another 100.

It's back breaking work though.

May be around for another 100 years, but will sell less than the far superior engineered wood. Grin

I hear ya,
maybe the millionare's in there mansion's will buy that some day, that's who I prefer to work for.
Nigel Manson, Dwight Gooden,Fred McGriff, the houses on Lykes Ln., Barnetts house on that dried up lake,
the list go's on & on.

Ask your Hoboken rep. he'll tell you about me, if you care too.

But I do agree that engineered floors, especially the un-finished engineered (like Owen's), has it's place if you can find somebody that knows how to sand them the right way.

(theres a few companies in Polk that do the kind of floors I do, Wiiliiford, & I think the other co. is called Classic or somethin like that, you might   of heard of them, there doin pretty good)
