I want to ride up at bull creek this saturday if anyone is interested. it is 28 miles west of melbourne. 26,000 acres. you might need a management stamp though. it is small game season there and you can ride your atv or truck off the numbered roads and go anywhere. You can even shoot hogs during this time if you see one. most people just ride around though. no centerfire rifles allowed. not much hunting going on. probably some bird hunters.   they have a nice camping area.

it is about 2 hours and 15 minutes from west palm. I would guess close to three from lauderdale.

here is a link to a map of the area.
i beleive there is a exit onto 192 at melbourne and I-95. OR you can take the turnpike to yeehaw junction exit, go west to 441 and turn right, go north, (you will go through Keenansville , past Three Lakes(you can ride here too) and Hollipaw(about 20 or 30 miles). At the end of 441 turn right. crabgrass road is 3.5 miles down 192. take this road about six miles to the entrance of Bull Creek. Where you coming from?

The fastest way is Take I95 to the US 192 exit. Bull Creek is about 18 miles from I95 on 192. Just look for the brown WMA sign on the South side o fthe rode.

I did not think that you could ride ATVs in a Wldlfe Management Area. Do you all know something we don't. I Checked on a couple that is close to our area and they said not.

some do some don't. bull creek and three lakes do allow them. During deer season you cannot go off the named and numbered roads. ONly during small game season Jan10-Mar. 6 can you go offroad any where you want. I live down by the J.W. Corbitt WMA and they don't allow atv's but you can run the crap out of your hunting buggy and go anywhere.
I have been to 3 lakes and bull creek for deer season and there are alot of atv riders. I beleive ocala national forest is a state run area and you can ride atv's there also.

Yup yup yup. Bull creek is only open to free ride for a couple months so take advantage. Lots of sand and dust on some trails but there are a coupl good waterholes.

Rode for 5 hrs, 58 miles. Can go offtrack, some water and mud. Fun to explore but need gps if going deep. officer said 36 atvs there, 82 hunters, mostly in buggies, some walking, had shotguns, everyone very nice. Seen 3 banshees(hopped up) and one 450r Flying down fire breaks, 70+ no helmets, wonder when were going to loose more state land?? Due to a few? Some deep water, Roads were dusty.
Me and my son had a awsome time, going back .

321,

Sounds like you saw part of my group.  We share a camp off Owens st. and Ride in Bull Creek all the time.  And yes we did have one guy with us that would not wear a helmet....  But the rest of us do.  Do you remember a seeing a pair of Suzuki KQ Yellow and Green riding twoup???

Most of the riders are very respectable out there.  But my Buddy, riding a 450R, got chewout royally for going to fast by the guys at the checkout booth...

Hope to run into you some of you next time!

Hey Hibrass,
I dont think it was you guys. There was 2 banshees with dual alien ex. Both with no helment. A red 450r guy with a helmet. and a polaris trail boss. Riding is cool and riding fast is cooler. But when its state land with open hunt, I would be highly pissed if i was walking hunting small game and somebody came flying 60+ down a trail i was on. I have the same right to be there as he does, but I need to respect his sport as I want him to respect mine. Just doesnt look good, "
Hunter walking on state land gets run over by atv, during a posted hunt."

Anyway have you rode on all area ,can you ride the hiking trail? Meet some familys from cocoa, on utilities, some camping from jax. my son liked the cemetery rd, and billys pond ride. Had a good time. Firebreaks get a little washboard after 20+ miles.
Hope to see you guys sometime. Is there another ride somewere in holopow? Seen some pics of a group ride there?
PM me please.

321 and 500,

Right now Pig hunting is still going on at Bull Creek but you are still allowed to ride.  Any time we run into a hunting party my group just turns around and leaves them alone.  There is plenty of space for both without interference...

So far we are still exploring the Cememtary Rd area of Bull Creek, just that small portion has a lot of interesting places to ride.  I have seen a lot of Quads heading into the Suburban estates / Holopaw area but I personnally haven't ridden there yet.

I know that my small group will be riding Bull Creek again on the weekend of March 8th., we may do a day ride before that it depends on how well my boys behave in the meantime...  :-)

HIBRASS , we need more ATV riders like you.  it the riders that come to ride on the MGT AREAS that think it is a SPORT ATVpark for them and ride the roads at high speed and interfear with the hunters.
