That should be in the ball park. A humans terminal velocity is 120 mph so a 4-stroke quad being heavier by twice lets say but less aerodynamic ........ 126 would be a good guess.

last time i dropped my 2 stroke off a plane i clocked it at 124mph. so being a 4 stroke its a little heavier, 126 is a very good guess

and lettin off at 90! he must be scared of it then because i have a 450r and got clocked by a cop doin 87 and my front end didnt even feel like it was wantin to come up at all. i think it is just a good story

120 seems to be a good round number for people! i hear people all the time talk about how there atv's can go 120mph... i dont think that people realize just how much power it takes to go that fast. you would have to have about 90hp and weigh less than 375lbs and you might hit 120! depends on which way the wind is blowing since a quad is about as areodynamic as a rock! as jackie chan said.. "i like to let people talk who like to talk, it lets me know just how full of $hit they really are"  now tim's MysticMotorsports lt500 will go at least 100mph for sure. scott's R goes 91mph with race gearing and it walked away up top! |

you can get a 400ex to do 86MPH with quite a few mods. 450r does about high 70's to mid 80's stock. I could be wrong but that would be my guess

how long does it take most of these quads to reach this mph? a freaking mile? i mean come on, when you are talking about gorilla motor banshees that are doing 115 mph in the 1/8th.
