My dog passed away on July 10, 2007. He was my first and only dog that Ive had so far. My parents got me the dog when I was in the 3rd grade and I was taught how to respect him and how to care for him right off the bat. I was taught the do's and don'ts of dog ownership. My dog was a very good guard dog and a best friend to me and my family for years. Although my dog was a Samoyed part Chow, I was taught that Chows were a dangerous dog. He had more Samoyed in him then Chow, but the lesson is as long as you respect your dog, your dog will respect you.

My Aunt use to own a pit bull, but the dog was hit by a car and killed. That pit bull was  an awesome dog. While being very playful and would never hurt a soul. We still watched him closley though like any other breed of dog.

I told my wife that a husband is like a fine wine; he gets better with age. The next day, she locked me in the cellar.

I've seen some pretty aggresive Chow's, I had a Samoyed when I was About 5, my Mom bought him for me & my sisters right after my dad died, but the Samoyed was a runner(open the front door & it would bolt) & we were too young to know how to train it.

Rob, your dog was a good dog because you were a good owner, it's that simple, I can't believe I woke up this morning & this topic is still goin on, but I did laugh my azz off on QT's post on the other pit bull post.
Although I do like reading Caospop's post's he seem's to me about the most level headed on this topic IMO.

QT is my swamp cryptonite. But I don't think I would mind her being hung around my neck and draining all my powers!! Tongue
I'm a little upset Danielle and Shawn didn't keep in touch with me. I miss my dog. The only reason I gave him up was because of my home owners insurance co. threatening to cancel my policy. Even after I gave them Tattoo, my policy still got cancelled. I was going to take him back, but I didn't want to do that.
If you know their number, send it to me. I drove through Tennesee , and I'm sure I will again.
