Alright, i've bent enough rims to know that rocky mountains .190 strength rating DOES NOT live up to its description. I'm going to end up having to replace an axle and bearings soon if i dont solve this problem.

I'm going to buy some beadlocks but the last thing i want to do is spend all that money, and end up with yet another bent rim. I know any rim can bend, but not under normal riding conditions. Rough trails at a fast pace, yeah. Coming up short on a big jump, yeah. Riding in my yard with fairly smooth terrain, NO!

So who rides like a mad man and hasnt bent there wheels yet? I dont care about the money at this point and i dont really care about style either, i just want something that will hold up!

Any suggestions?

i would go with hypers they never will bend! i got tired of buying rims over and over again!  Angry they are expensive but i think they are worth it in the long run. also when you get beadlock to beadlock with someone there is minimal damage.

Hiper Carbon fiber beadlocks. I used to do the same thing. Not since I got Hipers.

I think stock rims are stronger than any aftermarket .190

I run the stock rims on my XC YFZ and I have not had any wheels issues. The stock rolled edge wheels are strong. I've cracked swingarms, broke tie rods, bent A-arms etc. but the wheels have held up.

Again Hipers are the best out there but get our your wallet.....and you are correct RM's .190 are softer than butter.

If you want aftermarket, Hipers are the best. I had three sets of stock LTZ rims because I thought for sure I'd be bending them hauling azz. Two really bad crashes- one in the woods, and the other casing a jump at Sunshine- and my axle bent before the rims did.

Ok, so my next question is. Do i get the tech 3's which have a dual rear beadlock or do i get the new cf1 carbon fibers with only a single rear beadlock? I plan on racing ftr this year and then might even try ssqsa as soon as the next season starts.
