PLEASE NOTE: THE RACE DATE IS AUGUST 11!!!!!!!

Quad, Trike, and Motorcycle Flat Track and MicroSprint racing at:

ValdostaKartingComplex.com
5266 Shiloh Road, Valdosta, GA
229-794-9729
1.5 miles west from I-75 off of exit 22 (22 miles into Georgia from Florida)

* 1/4 mile (approx 1330' aroung middle groove) clay D-shaped oval, slight banking.

* Gate fee $7 (under 6 free) , race entry fee $25 for SFTL members and $30 for all others. Gate opens at 3pm on raceday.

* Flattrack tires only, no knobbies (except Peewees).

* Idle speed to and from track (kart guys push theirs).

* Quad Classes include Peewee, Ladies, Novice, Intermediate, Veteran, Youth and Open. Trike, Motorcycle and Microsprint classes will also race.

*Numbers for Quads should be on 4 locations: front bumper, rear, left rear fender, right rear fender. Remember the scorers do not know us as well as the scorers at Thunderbowl so make sure they can see you.

* Safety gear required: boots (above ankle), long pants, helmet, eye protection, gloves, and a kill cord (Quads, Trikes). Recommended equipment: nerf bars, neck collar, chest protector.

* Class sizes will be decided based on turnout. Heats are qualifiers for the Features. Starting position in the heats is assigned by drawing numbers. After two heats, top points finishers advance to their Feature, bottom points finishers go to the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) and top two LCQ finishers then advance to the Feature.
In the event of a points tie after the two heats, tie breaker goes to the rider who scored better in their 2nd heat. Lineup position for Features is awarded by points from heats, ie., highest points gets gate pick.

* Trophies or plaques will be awarded.

At I-75 exit 18 there are hotels and a campground.

Best Western (west side of I-75 next to Riverpark Campground)
Saint Augustine Road, Valdosta, 31602
Phone: 229-244-7600

Riverpark Campground Valdosta 31602
Phone: 229-244-8397
This is a nice campground with a pool.

I forgot a few things. The track owner told me he will be advertising our event. He has had several calls from local riders wanting to know when ATV's would be there again. He also said the track has gotten much harder and the groove is approximately 3 carts wide so it ought to be fast. Grin

Times ?

The SFTL website reads 7PM. Im pretty sure that hasnt changed, unless Dave working something out so we can start earlyer.  I know we talked about bumping Jasper up a few hours but I think Valdosta is the standard time.

The track looks nice!

Maybe it was an oversight, but I just want to make sure there will be a Youth class, right?  Austin is psyched about this track especially after seeing these pics.

    Hey Brady ,
When you are Rick took some readings that day what numbers did you get on the banking? Wasn't it like 12 degrees?

I don't remember exactly what it was offhand. I recall turn 2 being REALLY banked. But yeah, it was like 10 or 12 degrees. We only went that one time, but it was nice track.
