As you all know we are getting real close to losing the Holy Lands as a riding area due to trash. Sometime next month it would be great to get a buntch of people together and ride, grill, drink, and do some cleaning up out there. We can all hang bags from our racks and ride around. If you are wanting to ride there still it would be smart to due something quick. Let me know what you all think and what weekend day you would be up to it or free. Thanx!

Sports bike will be fine for the cleanup and the levy riding, but back in the mud probably not. Have you ever been out there?

If not, we will show you around and I am sure if everone gets together there will be other sport bikes to go to the places you won't get stuck!

TurboBanshee_kid,  let me answer that question for ya, If you want a legal riding area near Broward you'll find a way to haul the trash. It's that simple.

No offense Turbobanshee, cuz you don't know better, but THAT is the reason we're going to lose the Holey Lands.  Sure the trash is part of it, but its not nearly as bad as ya'll are making it out to be.  We could be done picking up trash in 20 minutes if we have 10 bikes participate.

The reason we're going to lose it is because of the thingy-heads that FLY up and down the levy's on those two strokes (and even UTILITIES) doing 70mph or more!

THE SPEED LIMIT IS 25 ON EVERY SINGLE ROAD in the WHOLE area!!!!!!!  FWC is sick of people FLYING up and down the levy's and blatantly disregarding the RULES out there.  IT IS NOT A PLACE FOR SPORT BIKES AND TRIKES unless you want to go play in the "mild" mud pits on the sides of the roads.

I hate to be the one who says it but I've spoken with SEVERAL utility owners who will back me up in this.

And yes, I am DEFINETLY willing to help pick up the trash because we need to respect our riding areas.  I just got done emptying a COOLER full of beer cans because I refuse to throw them out or even put them on my racks because they might fall off.

I understand that Smiley  Thats why I said the assholes that fly up and down the levy!!  I know that some of ya'll come out and actually utilize the place the best you can!  I don't understand why the speed freaks can't keep it at the tracks designated for them, Macks big open area, or one of the other places to ride.  And if one of ya'll comes back and says that the Holey Lands is one of those places, you're wrong.  As mentioned before, the speed limit is !!25mph!!, so unless you like flooring it half way through first, take it somewhere else so that we can still have a place to ride in the mud.

Okay everybody! The date for the pickup and ride will be:

SUNDAY MAY 15, 2005 @10am

If everybody can bring some food, drinks, and their own gloves to pick up trash we will be good. I will bring the trash bags and we have someone that will bring a dump truck! After cleaning up a little bit, we will get some riding in. For all you newbies to the area, we will bring you through. Let me know what everyone is going to bring. Grin

Hello, count us in.  I can bring trash bags, food,drinks....We were out there last Saturday.  I have a 250SX 3-wheeler and my wife has a Honda Recon.  We did pick up some trash around the area we were parked at. Also, we should inform FWC of our plans.

Thank you... Every little bit of cleaning up helps. If you want my number, PM me. We will be out there with a Purple Dodge and a dark green arctic cat 650. Hopefully I will have my new bike by than and it will be a dark green 400.
