Dade can almost se an Atv park in their back yard Opalocka west is a piece of substancial land given to MX park and drag strip owner Pete Scalzo down in dade County on US27 and Crome this is to be used as a atv recreational park but it is on hold by Derm cause of some freekin plant but this so called land is to be mined into a rock curry in 2-3 yrs so what the hell does it matter I ask You can help call his office (305) 599-1200 ask him to do something or more kids god forbidding may die in accident on the street. A young boy not 1 mile from where the park would have been by now die on a dirt road with a helmet riding safely WHY? it is there it is gonna be mined WHY? if you can show or help getting media I say please do for my kids and many others thanks.

I had a friend that use to ride on the Levy's out west Dade somewhere because there was nowhere else to ride. Not knowing that they took a big chunk out of the Levy, he was riding on top and took a fatal dive over the drop off.
We use to ride all over Homestead and the Redlands in the old days.Even on the sides of the road.If I go there now, there's nowhere to go.You guys need some help down there , that's for sure!!

53 views and the only post is the guy that is selling his quad it shouldn't be like this Chino I know there are some of you seeing this that are from dade county or that can be there isn't this what everyone is always yelling about come on, JackL you ride at macs that is not more than a mile from where this park is to be if it wasn't for Derm for those that know the old airstrip on Okee and crome all that area is it come on I know there are people that can join in on this IF NOT JUST A NOTHER CHANCE THAT GOES TO CRAP AND ISN'T FOUGHT FOR. I believe if this item is pushed more it can get done.

Thank God. Perhaps Krome ave and my friends out out at Macks can get some peace if this happens, not likley but a nice thought.

I wish it were further South, but I will be there to support it, even if I never actually ride it. Anything to get these morons off the streets. We nearly lost all of Macks from the junk riding and BS that goes on up and down Krome. Say what you will about the FWC, but them laying the heat on helped that place out greatly.
I'm told this was a busy weekend out there, and everyone said they had a good time.
It was hard to tell today, because it poured all morning there and erased most of the evidence but the trash.
Very nice riding. It will be too wet real soon.
BTW: Macks is planning their own trail system which will be announced formally very soon. I for look forward to it, the preliminary plan sounds very nice to me, and will appeal to a great many riders like myself on UTES.
EDIT: Further more I don't particularly like the gentleman you are referring to due to an incident I'm sure we all know about at that track before it's opening, but I will hold my tongue for a worthwhile cause.

Peter, you and the Miami Team have my full support. I have already had a heated exchange with the @SSHOLE from Derm. I asked that same question. How come it's to sensitive for us to ride but not to mine? I will call Diaz commissionrs office again today. Let me know whatever you need from me.

GATO, The May 29th meeting where is it going to be at. Let me know, I'll see if I can go to this one also. We need to show up in numbers or they aren't going to take us serious. Any other locations that you know of that can be used for the park.

there will be another meeting on the riding site but you know how they work it short notices for little numbers of shows but we need to change that there will be another meeting tomorrow here is the information it will be held in the building across from Miami Police Building but exactly at 5pm it figures but I will be there with some AMX members but if you can show it would be better but the May 29th meeting is in City of Hialeah City Hall from 7PM to 9PM but this one is to push for the Opalocka West site I think the address is 500 or 504 palm ave.

Definitely post as much info as you can on the times and places to show up, I have some riders who can go on pretty short notice. I wouldn't mind taking some pictures of city halls parking lot full of trucks with bikes on them.
Try to find out exact addresses so I can tell people, most of us are way north of Miami and even Hialeah.

May 29th meeting
http://www.miamidade.gov/district12/library/townhall_meeting%20_Hialeah_07.pdf
Guys these are town hall meetings. I went to the one already, but if we keep showing up they may see that we really want this Atv park. SO the more of us that show up the better it will be.
there is also a meeting on May 23 in Medley
http://www.miamidade.gov/district12/library/townhall_meeting%20_medley_07.pdf
so guys show up to one or both and show Pepe Diaz how serious we are about getting an Atv park...
LSWJTH2 the meeting tomorrow is going to be at
Hickman Building
275 N.W. 2nd Street

Man, what a way to go. I suppose that is why riding the levys is prohibited now? Sure did have some fun on dirtbikes on them dykes back in the day.
