In the Ocala Natl Forest...are helmets required? What are the limitations there, are we allowed to play in the mud?
Having never been there, what kind of conditions do they have there for riding? Thanks!

Helments are not required, and you cannot play in the mud.  The only limitations really is that you cannot ride unlisensed vehicles on numbered roads, so stay on trails.

You can too play in the mud if you find it on the trail!  He is right helmates are not required and the conditions are very dusty and sandy with the occasional mud hole. The mud that is there is probably DEEP!!   If it takes up the whole trail and there is a cut through around it then unless you have a modified 4x4 then take the route around it.  Learned that the hard way. Embarrassed   That or don't go first! It is more sport quad tuned because of the banked turns and sand pits but still it is fun to just ride on.

Big scub is not too bad......the trails are fun, the main "road" under th epower lines are a lottttt......of whoop for bigger utility quads, but doable on ocassion.....

Not to be a di%k but why would anyone ask if helmets are required? If you think that the brains in your head are required then wear the damn thing.

Sorry Rob but its bugs the hell out of me. Ive got friends that ride utility quads that dont wear nothing but goggles and I'm like, I'd rather pick dirt out of my eye than have my skull crushed. I know a guy with a Vinson that never wears a helmet and his kids ride double on a 90 with no helmets. I wont ride with him because I dont wont to be there when IT happens. Sorry about the ASSumption.
