If anybody catches about a 100 pound tarpon out of tampa bay with a nice spinning following behind lemme know my girlfriend needs to learn to pay attention Grin

That sucks. I am sure he broke it off somewhere & one day someone will catch it. Sounds like she needs a baitrunner type reel.

over the weekend my buddy hooked up with about a 200+ tarpon off commercial pier it wraped him around a buoy lol

she seems to cost me money every time we go fishin, it sucked watching the rascal jump 3 times with my rod and reel still atached

lmao what reel n rod set up do you have(had)?, i think star rods are the best, i have a star rod with a calcuta reel never let me down..

all my rods are star with Shimano's, 4 tld 25's, 4 6500 baitrunners,4 3500 bait runners,2 tld 50's,2 tld 15's and 2 tld 10's (not made any more). plus 2 squidders and 2 jigmasters.

Dam i have 2 much money tied up in this sport lol

it was just a penn spinfisher with a new redbone on it, are those all star rods anygood ive been raised on g-loomis but those redbones are solid, but for about 15 minutes i wished the tarpon would have taken her overboard, ill get her on a big snook this weekend and well see what happens
