Ok here it is in a nutshell...........dirtygrl80's grandparents (now deceased) gave her a 2000 Polaris Trailboss 250 in 1999 for her 18th birthday...........there is no bill of sale ( tried to get  a copy from the original point of sale what a joke......) got the registration showing it is hers thru the Polaris website, but this is not an acceptable piece of paper for the pinellas county tag and title office, as it does not have the date it was purchased or the price paid ( oh yeah they want more tax money huh......) so now we have all our stickers for ONF except for this one....trying to do this the easy way ( pppppffffffffftttttttt right ) so what do we do now!!!  Bang Head  Any help at all would be appreciated as we're at wits end not to mention took a day off work to go get these stickers............

You only have to pay tax if it was bought after 7/2002. I would hand write a bill of sale for what ever amount and date it before 7/2002. It would make it look like you are the second owner. Here is the link. It is the 4th page from the end. this is the part you need to worry about

I would probably go to a different tag agency also since the one you went to already knows everything you told them.

in ref to ATV value for tax purposes, in my recent experience if you put down you bought it for 20$ that may back fire.  I believe they go by NADA.

I went to register one of my kids with a buddy.  My buddy try to pull the $20 thingy.  It did fly.

Greenmachine,
its a different sticker than the one from croom. its a little bigger like a boat sticker &you have to put it on your rear fender. called a registration sticker like on your car tag.

What if your atv's only have a certificate of origin? How do you get a sticker? I have a title on my KFX, but my DRR's & Kymco only come with a sertificate of origin.

I just registered and titled a 1986 ATC250r with a bill of sale that showed $100 and the date on the bill of sale was 3/10/2007, well after the 2002 cut off in Pinellas County.  I went to the facility on Starkey Road.  It costs me $44 and change and I was in and out in a half hour during my lunch break.  No questions asked, the DMV WANTS YOUR MONEY!!!!
