South Georgia or North Florida

Hey all. A group of co-workers and myself are looking for a weekend riding trip idea. Someplace in south Georgia or North Florida that is legal "don't want to loose our quads". Need to be able to tent or travel trailer camp at site or nearby. Also something that is worth the trip from Lake County, Florida (Mt Dora). Mainly MX track, trails, and/or pits. Not neccesarily interested in mud only. Some mud ok. Any ideas? Directions would be great.
thanks

You should go the extra mile and go up to Durhamtown. It is Nothern Ga, but worth the trip. I live in N Fl and there is not anything like it up here, yet. Although some of us are working on it.

sorry buddy here in "south GA" there are no places to camp and ride, jsut a few local areas that we ride, durhamtown is the closest and then its north ga in the mountains, but if you have a sport quad it isnt as fun as they are really rocky trails better suited for utilities, durhamtown has some nice tracks and trails plus camping and such, here locally in the summer we ride the alapaha river near willacoochee ga, and the shooting range on hwy 84 w in VALDOSTA, other than that, its just on our own property, and I dont know of anything in north fla to ride either, I just usually pack it up and go to ONF to ride.

Yeah man your best bet is just to go to duramtown or ONF. I live south of jacksonville around St.Augustine and other then private land you are just gonna have to burn allot of gas. Its a little better if you have a sport quad because there a are a coupple MX tracks but utes are just screwed.

Actually utes have a few options, Osceola in N.FL, Creekbottom, Rocky Creek, and Big Creek areas in S.Ga. All 3 Ga locations have Mud, Trails (best for utes, even 2wd do well) and camping.

Hey all, I'm new here but I did a search and found a great site with a great trail search engine, you all may already know about it,
atvfan.com
. Go there and use the trail finder, put in your zip code, distance from zip, it will search up to 500 miles away and it will give you a list of trails. I think you would be surprised at how many trails there are in the southeast from Alambama, SC, Georgia, and Florida. I did a search from my zip in central Fla, 500 miles , got a list of 35 locations, 14 in Georgia alone. Each site has reviews, details, maps and all.
One day when I get the time and all ,I would love to take a week and make a trip through the south east an hit some of these trails, they look like a lot of fun. Check that site out, you'll find something there.

CREEK BOTTOM IS MORE FOR THE MUDDERS. WE HAVE ONE SMALL AREA SET ASIDE FOR SPORT BIKES AND SOME TRAILS IN THE PINES FOR 2 WD. IT IS EXTREMELY WET AT CREEK BOTTOM. WE HAVE 500 ACRES BUT MOST OF IT WITH THE TRAILS AND CREEKS ARE VERY WET. THIS TIME OF YEAR IS THE RAINY SEASON FOR GA. IT WILL BE DRYER LATER IN THE SPRING. IT WILL BE A REALLY FUN WEEKEND AND WE HOPE YOU CAN MAKE IT. CALL ME IF YOU NEED MORE INFO 352-528-3252, 352-816-3576, 352-558-4070

ATVs are allowed on any pre-existing trail in the Appalichicola National Forest. No trailblazing, and no riding on numbered county roads in Leon county, no riding in wetlands, anything else is legal. I'm not sure if it's worth the trip or not, but you can't say there's "nothing" in North Florida.

Please dont waste your time like I did unless you have to. Save up, reschedule, or do whatever it is you need to do to get to Durhamtown. If you havent been then you wouldnt understand, its just that much fun.

Please explain a little more. Where should we not waste our time?
