Ok guys here is the scoop.

Randy Yoho contacted me with the idea of doing a ATV Olympics at his track.  It will be the weekend of May 5-6.  Sat night will be the night mx track.  Sunday morning will be the Flat track.  After that is complete will be the Big MX track.

More info will be posted soon.  You can come and just run the Flat track on Sunday morning or you can come and do the whole Olympic thing.  There will be trophys for each veniue and will be medles for those who participate in the olympics.

Knobbies will be allowed.

Thanks and I will keep you posted with more information as it comes

  Brett,
Is Yoho actually running flat track classes? Since we ( the SFTL) have established rules do you know if he would like one of the SFTL officials to contact him. Here is the big question: Is he going to make everyone who comes to race flat track pay the $30 yearly membership fee?

From what I know we will be running the same class structure for all three events.

I believe that you will either have to have a Dade City card or a NQRA/SSQSA card.  If you do not have either and if one is required we (NQRA/SSQSA) has a day membership for $10.  I will check on that one.

I will also see if he wants to contact one of the SFTL officials.

Does SFTL have a membership card?  We may be able to get that put in there also. Grin

Yes the SFTL issues cards to it's members at $25 per year. At some tracks we travel to they give the SFTL members a $5 discount on the entry fee (Jasper, Valdosta, Eastbay) . They reason I asked about Yoho using flat track rules is because they different from other racing rules,  specifically on starts, restarts, and penalties. I am pretty sure if I pitch this deal to the other SFTL officials, they will want to know that some form of flat track rules will be followed whether it's ATVA or NFTRA or SFTL probably won't matter.  Just curious, why is Yoho willing to run flat track races now?

He said that they have been doing the Thursday night practice.  I don't know about races.

This is to offer an event so we can see who is the "Best of the Best" so to speak. (Like the GNC was at one time) (Or like the ATV OLYMPICS that was at Gatorback)  Also will be a good, fun weekend to see some really good racing.
