I know it has been posted before but i cant seem to find it..
Me and the family want to check out eureka dam this weekend and wanted to get some directions on where to park..
And if there is anywhere to stay besides the elite resort that is close to the eureka...is there a camp ground close to eureka with running water/showers???
any local info would be great thanks

it's not far from elite
I know this is kinda vague.
i think it's of 316, 314? both those roads confuse me. pull out of elite and hang an immediate left, follow it down like 10 miles, somewhere before u cross the big bridge u need to hang a right go up a little ways, and theres a pit on a road on the left, go park there.

Here are directions Motomike posted on the site recently.
"Go down 19 towards Ocala, if you are coming from Orlando, you will cross Hwy 40. Keep going on 19 until you come to Salt Springs. Go to 316 turn left...316 is next to a shopping center with a restaurant called The Square Meal. Anyway, continue on 316 for a few miles. You will pass 88 and some other roads. Once you come to 301 turn right (you can only turn right), you will know this is the right street by two things, first, a Oklawaha sign for a camp ground at the end of 301 and plus it is the last street before a large bridge. Anyway, you will drive past a lot of rebel flags...try not to stop...lol
Then you will pass rd 31, be looking for a small road on your right and on that road is a big pit and a lot of trails."

When you turn right ...just before you go over the big bridge the pit is on the left about a 1/2 mile or so. ( small paved road, pits are on both sides of the road. ) and it has trails the run along the river.
They have 2 camp grounds in salt spring also.

South on 19, take right on 316 the follow Erics directions from the post above. Just look for the Oklawaha river campground sign on your right. Hope this helps.

This is how I got there: Hwy 19 south to hwy 316 west, Took 316 west to 160th ave north, 160th av north to 157 ave west the pits was on both sides of the road. The one pit is a county holding area for road debri the other is sand and trails. I liked the county pit best even though I had to ride pass a big NO Trespassing sign. The trails off of the pit was good but very short. I stayed in the pits most of the day and had a blast. From Jax it is about 1hr and 45 mins. Well worth the trip.
