OUR constructive criticism and positive input can help them out!!This is one more place to ride that is legal. They seem to be making along term commitment! So let's help them out with good ideas!!

Some of you need to lighten up! $30 for an entire weekend of riding and partying and live music ( not the best music but still!) is not bad! If you only go for one day and spend $30, I agree that seems a little steep but dont go if you cant stay all weekend then.

Hello everyone.
I would like to say in defence of L-Cross.
I understand some don't like the price changes.
But i can say this. for $30 for the weekend pass you get 24 hr. security and e.m.s.. You get live entertainment on Saturday nights , sometimes Friday night if enough people would come up and watch the show! Not to mention all the things involved in opening this place like insurance, State permitting, enviromental studies and permits!!!
Think gas prices are high, How about what it cost to run and maintain equipment then build roads, rent port o pots, staff to run the place and advertisment cost. Think about how much we spend to give people a place to come out and have fun and meet new friends!!!
As far as the other riding areas, We had to close them for a short time to allow the grass to regrow from where people with no respect for the land had destroyed it during D.A.C.
We had an Atv rodeo which many did not take part. The ones who did enter said they had a blast. Of coarse this was our first one so there were some bugs. We are planning to do it again and start a ongoing title standings.
As for the beads for breast thing ... It will stop! Anyone caught by security will be told to leave!!! we will no longer give warnings. This is an familiy facility and we will not tolerate it any longer!

And the issue of underage drinking we are trying to address.
But all everyone can do is complain. If you see underage drinking tell security. They are real cops!
Instead of complaining about everything, why dont those who are not happy here try to help make this the best atv and off road facility that it can be!!
And true_grit
Thanks for the help... You see I am trying...
I we going to finish the improvments to the roads and i will see what we can do about the other items, There will be some big improvements when you return.

Mr. Mud
I would rather show my breasts for beer than beads anyways!
Even though you have no hot city water out dar to showir in and do not provide soap and shampoo I will be back.
P.S. How about a little more gravel at the washoff area for drainage and a couple of water trucks to cut down the dust.
Other than all of the things being said on this thread I think you are doing a great job. Keep up the good work.

Thanks guys....
I have some big plans for L-Cross and hope that Mr. pierce will allow me to bring them to everyone. The atv rodeo is going to lose an event or two but i will replace them with more. The mud pit race is coming soon i hope, and i found out about a sled for pulling. I would like to start a stats race for overall champions of the rodeo but i need more participants to get it going.
The entertainment for next month is going to be differant and eveyone should enjoy them. I can't say no more yet, but as soon as we get the ok i will post them here and on l-cross.com.
Thanks again guys...

If you can ride all weekend for $30 it's sounds cheap to me. I've been to concerts where 4 beers cost $30.

I have no problem with $30 for the weekend and I would say yes its not a bad price, but when I have two kids and would like them to go it cost me $90 just to get in. I cannot do that. Maybe there should be a price per quad or something. My daughter rides with me on my quad. My son rides his on.

I liked it old school: Seperate place for atv's, one day price and a weekend price. 2 different color wristbands. then, controversy over
Children who are not old enough to drive atv's should be free
More boobies
less drunken minors period! especially if they hurt themselves.

What is wrong with this picture? This mudmaster that works there says that beads for breasts will stop. Anyone caught will be made to leave with no warning. Now on the underage drinking....they are going to "try to address it". Wow, when was the last time anyone got hurt by seeing a breast? Playing with beads is accepted behavior at all kinds of party spots, Mardi Gras, Key West, Yabor City, Daytona Bike Week, etc......, leave that alone unless it is hurting someone. Seems like the popular opinion here is for it to continue. As for underage drinking, that is an illeagle activity that can lead to injury or death. Spend time cracking down on that. If this place is meant to be a family place you cannot mix alcohol, mud and the general public. Leave it up to the parents to decide if this place is for their kids or not. I know I would not care at all if my kids happened to see a bare breast, but just all the chaos from the big trucks and little bikes makes me leave them home, it ain't the place when I am going out to have some brewskis and play in the mud.

well atleast mudmaster is concerned about children thats a good thing.when children go to sleep show the boobs!!!!i'm just happy that we have another legal place to ride...everyone is always saying we need places to ride,,and don't mind paying if it's good or legal....now we have one,,and everybody is still complaining!!!!so what if he raised the price,,,he did that to cover the ever rising costs of a playground for all of us..if he didn't raise the price,,then we might have lost this place.....i'm sure as time goes on he will raise the price again to cover his costs,,but hopefully it will improve as time goes on..............JUST MY THOUGHTS PEOPLE....FREEDOM OF SPEECH..

Hi little_rednck_girl
Yes i will still do the trail rides... But i have to do them on Sundays due to other events going on. The rodeo takes alot of work and i hope that everyone will participate in the next one. It was alot of fun for me and the kids that entered had a great time. The events are not hard to do and it gives us wheelers something to compete in and be safe to have some fun.
I will see if i can do the first one sunday at 10 am we will see how many are interested.
Thanks

I am going to be down there in a month or so and was looking forward to spending a weekend there with my brother. However , not allowing women to show thier cans is wickywack. How about if you had a seperate ,fenced off area , maybe towards the back, where breasts can be exposed. Like a champagne room type thing. I would be willing to pay at least 50 bucks for that.

Ok, I wasn't bashing on L-Cross. I just think $30 is a little steep when river ranch is $20 and the holey lands is free. I do understand teh cost you have to cover and for a once a month thing, I'm more than willing to pay it for the party!! BUT, it does suck on families with little kids that have to pay for children.
My suggestions on things that need to be fixed:
-The scavenger hunt was a DANGEROUS joke. You should the 'dew bottle' hidden (or exposed!) in some NASTY, THICK mud that you can either risk taking your quad through or crawl through yourself. THis would make it fair, interesting, and FUN!!! Not just an all out mad dash with dangerous machines doing in excess of 60mph with a visibility reaching JUST past your handlebars.
- The breasts were fine. No big deal with people having some fun. If you don't want your kids seeing it, cover their eyes or don't bring em. sh*t, they see more in a PG-13 movie now a days! What I DO find offensive is the guy that was riding around with a BLOW-UP DOLL on his rack. That's pretty offensive and that would make me wonder as a child "Whats that doll naked and showing all that 'pink' for??"
- The underage drinking is almost impossible to control. I hate to say it. They DO need to crack down on people driving around and drinking though. The guy who was driving in the accident I witnessed got OUT OF THE TRUCK with a BEER in his HAND. He should have been ARRESTED and charged with DUI and attempted vehicular manslaughter!
- There needs to be a designated ATV mud pit. We found one way in the back but it only took an hour or so before everyone with a crappy ass truck came runnin through it and souped it up. Same thing happened with the pit around that "lake"...the samurai's took that over. The trucks have that HUGE pit and us fourwheelers just cruise through there, but we can't always play where the trucks can (and vice versa), so DESIGNATE PITS for ATV use only
- The showers need pavement around them. Nothin like gettin soaked, takin a shower, and then gettin dirt (mud) and shells in your feet to crawl back the tent lol
- You need more than two hoses. Or you need somoene to enforce a time limit on cleaning bikes. This is just to RINSE your bike, not THOROUGHLY CLEAN IT. Man, some people were taking 20-30 MINUTES cleaning their bikes!!!
- Your police officers should be wearing badges...makes people respect them a tad bit more. Although, the guns seem to do it too.
- If we're paying for EMS, why isn't there an ambulance on scene?? that poor kid i helped had to wait 30 minutes for an ambulance, and even then, it ended up helping someone else. I don't know what else could be more serious than a broken neck other than maybe a heart attack or gunshot wound, but i guess i'll find out some day.
- The speeding definetly needs to stop. That would alleviate half your dust problem right there. You know how many sport bikes would just rip off and kick up dust and dirt EVERYwhere?? Stiffer penalties for speeding.
other than that, its fine. I don't complain much but im tryin to help you out along the way.
OH ONE MORE THING: YOU NEED AN EXIT AND an ENTRANCE!!!!
mudmaster: were you the guy in the big f-250 with the yellow accents? if so, great truck!! I gave ya a big thumbs up on the way out on sunday

How can you complain about $30 and then say that they need to add pavement, and more horses, and add an entrance and an exit. All this stuff that you mention costs money.
