Mr. Bones,

Vulgar threads don't happen often but would it be possible to have a part time moderator for late night?  It would have been good tonight for someone that's on late night to have been able to at the least move tonights thread off the site for the real moderators to view and decide how to handle.

Its a good idea, but Im not sure how it would work. A member choosen becomes mod at a designated time, and then temporarily lose it during the day time?

My suggestion is they are only needed as a partial moderator when the actual moderators are not available.  Generally 10pm-2am, most ppl are offline and aren't posting after 2am.  The only ability this person would have is to move a thread to the moderators section for review.  As well if a thread had porn like this one it could be moved immediately.  However, anything else would be left to the members reporting it.  Should a thread get reported then this persons job would be to move it.

Just a thought cause I was very disturbed as were many of you about last nights issue.

But who is going to be up to the task...the late night guardian of atvflorida

Staying up all night to move posts, is there a salary involved? If so I am interested

Just saying it might be hard to find someone, but this is a good idea, so I hope there is someone willing

There are plenty of members on here that tend to be on late night regularly.  There have only been a few occasions in the last few years when I've seen the need.  It's not like it's a job actually.  More just if something gets reported to moderator this persona would end up on here late night naturally and respond by moving the thread for the mods to look at it.  No names of who the person is, no color changes, just some anonymous person who's on late to make sure we don't end up w/ porn on the site and nasty behavior.

I think it's good idea cutie, last night was ridiculous.

I'm sorry again for stooping to his level.

But that is the first time I seen a pic. like that on this site, it made me mad.
I was just trying to shut him up.
Maybe if I just woulda ignored him it wouldn't of went that far.

I wonder if there is a way to set it up so a post is automatically moved to the mod forum if more than 5 people report it.

That is a good idea. I'll have to check around for an add-on for the forum that does that.

If only I could remember how to program longer than a week I wouldn't have to relearn it every time!

I will do it.  I can also perhaps have a mod made to do just what you asked.
