Oh, you mean the Congress that 81-0 voted to send the General picked by Bush to Iraq.......and then complain about the situation?
And, no.....most of us don't like your posts.

i mean the congress we have now, that wants to end the war, and bring the troops home. oh how nice, bush wants another 100 billion dollars on top of the 70 billion he already got just for 2007. bush has already said for 2008 he will want even more than 2007. plus we can probably chalk up another 500 dead us soldiers over the next two years of his dreadful term. all these new people elected to congress recently are against the war. american people elected them. that says enough. so, curious to hear your runaround b.s. about how i am alone in my beliefs in america. you are so wise super duper senior vip member of atv forum.

What about the 880 people that will die this week in car wrecks. The 1800 people that died today from Heart disease. The 1500 people that died today from cancer. These guys are overseas fighting for your right to post your opinion on this forum. You obviously don't know what it takes to keep our freedom and the danger that area poses to our country. I hope once we clean up Iraq we will take down Iran. Too many crazy people over there to just sit here and do nothing.

The same exact congress that: (a) approved without dissent to send the general selected by Bush to Iraq who whole-heartedly supports the troop build up; (b) now wants to stop the troop build up despite such approval; (c) has offerred ZERO alternatives or realistic approaches to Iraq; and (d) is made up of numerous democrats that jumped all over the war wagon initially and went with Bush's plans? If you mean that congress, then ....yeah! The liberal mindset redefined the term "runaround b.s." over the past six years. You folks can't pick an opinion and stay with it to save your lives. However, you're always the first to bad mouth and throw mud on any plan or shortcoming on the conservative part while at the same time offerring no solutions or alternatives.
Pretty funny how brainwashed some folks have become. Tell you what, why don't you call Nancy Pelosi's office and ask her her solution. After all, she's the whip these days right? Oh, that's right, she's too busy trying to get military in-country flight privileges for her friends and family.
Oohay......you're outclassed on this one. Better go find some help before you try to debate this.

I like to think that our getting in to Iraq and the subsequent problems after the liberation cant all be the Dems and their devious plot to turn this country into one big group hug!! No, sir !! The general that you where refering to was confirmed on the merits of his service and his integrity. Regardless of party , its pretty hard to argue with his credentials. The majority of AMERICANS demanded by there vote in Novembers election , a change of course in Iraq.To say that nobody on the other side of the isle has had any good ideas with regard to Iraq is false , in fact there have been many good ideas to come from good old fashioned bi-partisan brain storming, unfortunately those ideas have fallen on deaf ears. That being said , the idea of a troop increase makes sense to me , and many other military and former military men and women ( in order to squash these fighting factions and help normalize the country and relieve our brave soldiers of having to go fight for these people and start training them to defend them selves). But to irresponsibly blaim one party for the quagmire that is Iraq , is borderline irrational at the least. Instead of beating the same old drum of all the political talking heads on TV and radio , original thought would be quite refreshing. Your point of knowing every nuance of every political story is laughable. This poor guy just wants his voice heard... regardless of his message, you should still show him some respect. I know when I took the oath to enlist , I swore to defend his right to descenting opinion as well as yours to disagree in a classy and respectful manner from one AMERICAN to another AMERICAN!!. Because in the end you are AMERICANS first!!!! Republicans did not defeat the Germans , Democrats didnt defeat the Japs......AMERICANS DID!!!! .02

Actually, you make decent points and I applaud you for it. While I've never claimed to understand and know every political nuance, Oohay is a moron and I will not respect him. He's proven it time and time again. Once he shows himself capable of intelligent debate, he'll be treated accordingly. The only thing laughable is his IQ count demonstrated in his posts.
Regarding blame, I've laid no blame on any party. It's war after all. Not exactly something that is scripted.
Finally, I'd love to hear some of the ideas that have come from the liberals (not Democrats and Republicans only) relative to handling Iraq. I haven't yet

I also think you make some valid points. But, the problem alot of people have is that , they have their own perception of the truth (regarding politics ) . But there is only one truth , and it lies somewhere in between both sides of the story( but to mention both sides wouldnt help each parties agenda , not to mention it would kill both parties propaganda machine). Fact is the best plan I have heard yet is the one originally put together by Joe Biden. It has been embraced by both parties as a viable alternative to the current Government in Iraq. His idea is ( and Im sure your aware of this) : Three seperate states (Kurdish, Sunni and Shite ) with one central government. This idea is better than all so far because it gives the perception of a more level form of government to those who believe that they are not evenly represented. Which hopefully would make( some ) put down their weapons and listen to reason. But we are dealing with people who live in the stone ages so , who knows

those democrats ,that jumped on the so called band wagon to begin with, were fed the lie that iraq had weapons of mass destruction and that we just HAD to go there. i heard about all the previous reports from the us and the un and a couple other agencies saying there was no evidence of weapons of mass destruction. then all the sudden there was, but no real evidence. huh. i guess those reports were all lies that someone was just feeding me? just like all the lies that people like ward churchill and michael moore feed me. i should just become good followers of the words spoken directly from the whitehouse and from you guys. i mean i could never expect a lie or a scandal to come from the whitehouse. what was i thinking. the president would never conduct national affairs in an order that would profit him and his business acquaintances, or maybe his little skulls frat brothers.

i just did my taxes and am getting a refund again. how do i go about sending the money straight to bush for the war effort? i just went and adopted five kids. i am going to raise them in order to get them ready to send to iraq to fight. they are all 12 years old. i will teach them everything bush would want them to think.{kinda like brain washing, got ta get em when they are young.} this way when they are killed over there, the loss will not be that damaging to me because they are not my own. i also will make some good money from the government to raise them. everyone should help their country and do what i am doing. this way we can avoid a draft that might actually take our blood relatives.

Good points and I agree that Biden's ideas are good. The question, I think we all agree) is implementation. How to do it.
