Florida Highway Patrol has created a emergency contact system. You can go online and enter two (2) emergency contacts on your Florida Drivers License (electronically) which can only be retrieved by a  law enforcement officer. This way, if you are in an accident, the police can run your drivers license number and have access to emergency contact information immediately. This information may save crucial time if it becomes necessary to contact family members, or other loved ones in an emergency. This service is only available to individuals holding a current Florida Driver License or Florida Identification Card.  Attached is a flyer from Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.
