1st you will need at the very least a kill switch, nerf bars, helmet, goggles, gloves. 2nd you need to figure out what type of racing you want to do, MX, TT, Flat track, XC let us know and we can better help you

Not too many places you can LEGALLY pracitce tt and flat track You could always ride xc and mx at seminole. When I have enough money I want to enter a few races at seminole. After spending a weekend their during a race when my ankle was broken, really got me thinking of just being a hobby rider instead of a racing, but man I wanna race, just to expensive for now.

Now that I know that TT stands for Tourist Trophy, can somebody take pity on me and describe what kind of riding or racing this is. Can't seem to get my mind around a picture of this. Thanks.

TT is a high speed track with smaller jumps
FLAT TRACK is like nascar but with dirt and quads
MX is lots of big and small jumps
XC is like trail riding
You can experience all these types of riding in 2 places that are next door to each other hardrock mx and ocala thunderbowl in ocala florida. you need flat track tires to do the TT and FLAT TRACK

Thanks for the info. I had a feeling you would be the one to explain it to us uninitiated.

TT is similar to flat track racing. The quads set up of tires and suspension are very similar. Flat track racing is done on a round or oval track, where the quads always turn left (like stock cars). TT racing will use the oval portion of the track, and encompass the infield area with both right AND left turns and some small (2 to 3 foot tall) jumps. The jumps are high speed floaters, not MX style "big air" jumps. Look up TT racing on the internet or get the video Huevos 7, as it has some good TT footage. Hope this helps.
