Everything still applies. No 3-wheelers! Dirtbikes are allowed. Alcohol is permitted. Anything is allowed from army tanks to Escalades. Camping is free and there's plenty of room. It's $15 a day or $30 for the whole weekend. Thats each person as well.

Should be nice wether this year, I hope it's not to cold though.

You sure are planning in advance. Oh yeah, should be nice weather. Did you look into your crystal ball and predict the future's weather 2 months from now? Last year was freezing though, but the overheating of the bayou kept me warm.

Will the nissan be going? Oh wait you blew the motor. Maybe you can ride up with ethan on 44's. That would be sweet if he gets it done.

Went last time (damn hot) with a group of 7.  Plan on going again in Feb.  probably a larger group this time.  Might camp out if I can talk my daughter (Sweetrider) into it.

Yes there is a contact number but it has yet to be released. Once it gets closer they'll throw out more info on it. I'll see if I can find the old threa from http://www.Florida4x4.com. It had the number and direction.

Who went last year? I know alot of you guys can give out info.

Here is the scoop-

-It is a HUGE field off of route 70
-Friday is ATV Only Day- Sat and Sunday Everything under the SUN
-It gets VERY crowded come Saturday Morning VERY
-Last March Events are crazy HOT, Feb is Crazy COLD
-LOTS AND LOTS of traffic throughout the whole pasture
-Plop Johns Provided , as well as consessions ( reasonable prices)
-Kids and Adults acting like fools ALL the time (There is Security but not nearly enough)
-No Night Riding
-HUGE Bonfire Saturday Nights

Great if you like to people watch or have a few adult beverages responsibly. I plan to go Friday only for the DAY...then off to Private Private property.

Good idea!  I think I'll go Fri. this year to ride ATVs.  Camp out and ride in a friends swamp buggy Sat.  In August I started getting a little nervous by mid afternoon Sat. riding my ATV.  Too many inebriated people riding around willy-nilly.

Yeah, it was very hot in August and it did start to get pretty busy by mid-afternoon. It was still fun nontheless. Can't argue that part.

What event in march are you talking about? Semi-annual is February and August.

March--- Are you talking about David Alan Coe?

This event mentioned for this post does not sound real kid friendly. Sounds like a mad house. Hummmm....

Dont let people fool you. It's probably safer than L-cross. I mean, the same things go on at both events. Once your in the gate it's hard to watch what all 10,000 people do. There are plenty of spots to sit and watch and the west side of the mudhole is a bit more open and spectator frendly.

This event kicks the pants off L-Cross. Ask anyone thats been to both.

Oh and DO NOT GET ME WRONG , this is a kick butt place to have a real good time , if you have never gone you NEED to go...I just think you need to know what to expect.  If you are expecting to have a picnic in the field and watch your kids ride out in the open, I can not see that happening.

Thanks John Sales and crew you are appreciated.

We have been to L-Cross a couple times dumbace. Do you not remember? L-Cross killed my Jeep.  Cry  Theyre both real good, I dont know if this one Kicks its pant off but I prefer this one becuase I think its more open, at l-cross its hard to find a spot where there isnt any traffic where you can open it up if you want.

I bet you acctually could have a picnic if you wanted, Some people park right where you pull in the gate before you go around where the bondfire is. We set up camp in that area once and you could defiantly have a picnic, complete with the little wooden basket and the red & white checkered blanket
