I'm not sure who to address this too, but I made a post in the photo section where other people had pictures of their atv's. For some reason mine was deleted and I don't know why? Does anybody know why???

Here is the link to the post.

I made the post 2 days ago and I noticed it was deleted yesterday. I went back in the thread to look at everybody elses rides and when I got to page 5 where mine was, it was gone. The previous post was still there but mine was no where to be found. I guess my YFZ was not cool enough for the thread. Cry

I was going to do that but if it was removed by a mod for some reason, I don't want to do something that will get me band.

you probably were not wearing a helmet if its in the photo section. or maybe you were on pavement, or maybe you didnt have full body armor on, you also need have airbags installed on your quad if you want to make it in the photo section, and dont even think about the video section. when taking pictures/videos of you and your quad you must represent atvers in a very responsible and respectful manner. if your not careful your entire life may get deleted

That was probably it then. In the last picture, I was riding my Father in laws quad without a helmet. Here is Colorado, there are no helmet laws so I wasn't doing anything illegal but if that is the opinion of the mods of the board then I won't post that pic again. Although, I think maybe a pm to me asking to delete that 1 picture may have been better than just deleting my entire post. Dunno

There is no helmet law in Florida either however Riding a ATV is a semi dangerous activity and wearing a helmet shows responsiblity and doesnt promote unsafe riding.

Not trying to sound like a jerk but bottom line is it's Mr Bones site and he makes the rules. If he says no helmet no post then it's no helmet no post. Like it or not it's his rules. We don't have to agree we just have to abide.

I disagree with that as well. A site, especially a forum does not exist without the input of it's members. The "nerve" of one person to say my way or the highway on a forum is not my idea of a "Community". Debate and disagreement, democracy is the founding principle of our country...

Cableguy, I wasn't complaining about the rules. In fact, I agree with what you are saying. It is not my web site so therefore it is not up too me to make the rules. I am only a member so I need to abide by them just like everybody else. When I posted the pic, I was unaware of the rule that no helmet pics were not allowed. I later noticed the photo section does warn that they will be deleted but didn't see that when I posted the pics. I also understand where the owner of this site is coming from. He or she (I don't know who owns the site???) is wanting his or her site to promote responsible riding and not something that will give our sport a bad name. I do always ride with a helmet but the one that was posted of me not wearing a helmet, was before I bought my YFZ so at the time I didn't have one. I will also admit that the pic of me was somewhat irresponsible because I was catching pretty good air without a brain bucket on. But I know now so in the future I won't post anymore pics like that. No. No.

In fact I would have liked to have seen the picture of you getting air but understand why it was removed. I was reading your signature and am wondering what "Noss machine inspection plugs" are though.I never heard of them.

You completely and utterly miss the point, just because you "can" do something, doesn't mean you "should". A forum is ENTIRELY dependent upon it's members continuous input.

06 LimitPredator, if you are defending anyone riding any size or type atv without a helmet, you need to get back on the boat you fell off of & find another forum. Yes this forum is made by its members posts, but to me it looks like there are enough responsible posters to keep this thing alive. IT IS JUST PLAIN IGNORANT TO RIDE W/O A HELMET! If you have kids, I hope you dont raise them to think the way you do.

Are you saying i'm suggesting people should break the law and ride without helmets? Oh wait, you're on a high horse preaching to people about what another adult should or shouldn't do to be safe while obeying the law that says HELMETS ARE NOT REQUIRED.

Well i think it's unsafe for you to drive to work, in order for you to avoid having an accident i think you should sit in your house with no electricity and never move for fear of stubbing a toe or setting a fire.

hmmmmm... Not so funny when one person tries to make an arbitrary rule that says what YOU should or shouldn't do as long as you're following laws and behaving like an adult and making their own decissions.

To put it simple - this site has a law, it states no pics of riders with out helmets or it will be deleted. Posting a pic with out a helmet here is not following the "laws" of a site that is owned by one person - so HE does have the right to say what can and can't happen on HIS site! He pays for it, keeps it running and maintains it for all of us to enjoy. Seriously why is this so difficult for you? Cableguy put it out there very nicely. Did you not register and agree to the terms of the site?

lol

Did I break any terms of this site? Does simply disagreeing with the owner of this site on one subject mean i don't "Belong" here as you say?

Some of you crack me up.

This is a rediculous point. Being on this site you are basically in Mr. Bones "House", if you come into my house and I ask you to remove your shoes, then you reply its a free country, guess what? You are outta my house. This is not a government publicly funded forum, meaning whether its the law or not you can not post pics with out a helmet on. There is no arguement to that, its the rules. Just accept that fact and quit arguing about it.
