That kid getting hurt the other day over there in Middleburg didn't help matters any with that cause.

This situation bears no direct reflect on the new legislation that was passed. The law was broke when this guy was not supervised. It didn't matter that he was riding on the road or not, he still could have been hurt the same way. The ignorance of people appals me. He probably would have been riding on the road even if the law was not on the books.

I agree with you that this accident could have happened regardless of the law or not.  However if you've watched the video, Albet Hettrick talks about the incident and like most things people remember the bad rather then good more often than not.  This latest incident, tragic as it is, was just more fuel to the fire, and I'm sure that people will still ride regardless of the legality.
