I just read in dirtbike magazine that after 2007 Honda will no longer be making 2-stroke motocross or off-rode dirt bikes.

They cant produce them due to emission regulations, I guess suzuki is starting late lol.

I might be wrong but its not that they cant make them its that they dont want to. Due to recent changes in emission regulations in order for a 2 stroke to pass it hase to run alot cleaner then in the past. So they would have invest $$ in R&D to see if they could make one pass. Even then if the motor cant make enought power (which it probally wont) all the money spent was a waste.

with everyone goin to 4 strokes and the goverment regs. they wont be making them any more. soon NO one will. they have talked bout banning the production of the 2 stroke anything (boat motor, cycle, everything). heck they make 4 stroke weed-eaters now. the crf150r was the nail in the coffin basically. 2 years there will be no production of them.

They are placing a ban on two stroke engines in the U.S. Even outboard motors for boats falls into this catagory, by 2010 there will not be any more production of 2 stroke engines of any kind.
