Ya that's a GT with a vortech kit on it. Very common. With sticky tires you can get a blown GT to run low 12's, high 11's.  There are some blown GT's in the 10's but with built bottom ends and 15lbs+ of boost. I hope soon that my car will be in the 11's on motor(98 cobra).  -Mark

The motor is stock(heads, cams, intake) I just have all the bolt-ons. But here's alittle run down of what's on it....

Long tube headres
Off Road H pipe
pullies,
throttle body
cold air intake
chip
flowmaster muffs
4.56 gear  Grin
drag suspension
slicks and skinnies
some weight reduction

Just redynoed the car last Friday and it put down 304rwhp and 294rwtq.  Right down before the dyno I went 12.23@110.44 with a 1.59 60ft. It's fun launching at 7000rpms on slicks.  Cool   -Mark

Thanks for the compliment. My friend was trying to time it right just as the tires are at the highest point. This pic he was too early. Usually both tires are about 6" off the ground.  Ya slicks and 7000rpms is fun. It feels like getting rear ended by a truck. Sudden impact of acceleration.  Once I hit 11's then I'm gonna build the bottom end and either spray it or slap a vortech on it and shoot for mid 10's.  -Mark

That is not a cobra and its not running anywhere close to 10s

I agree , I dont see that car running anywhere close to the 10's ..  I know many people w/ vortech on there 98 ^ cobra's and Gt's and there running mid 12's and if there built better there into the 11's !

Just to let everyone know the reason the power curve dropped like that is because He let off at 959hp because at 1000hp the dyno will pretty  hit the brakes .. easy way to put it ..

This Look more like a -10 second car , driven back and forth from Fla , to  Ny / NJ and Washington ...

Grin , sorry had to !

That IS said. If I see a blown 4v running mid 12's that's pathetic. If I had a blower, damn sure I'd be low 11's atleast. Some people just slap parts on a car and expect the car to run without any research on what works best. People ask me all the time if I have nitrous. I hand them the keys and tell them to search the car. If they find it the car is theirs. -Mark

U can get alot of 3200# 350-400 car into the -11's with somesusp . and sticky tire if the setup it right ..  Grin

or you can get a 2800# coupe w/ rought 450-500 on the bottle to goes 9's with the right setup ..  alot of people build motor then susp .. the back asswards way ! if u ask me !

I've always wanted to put a mod motor in a coupe. Did you go with a alum or iron block on the 32v? It looks like iron. That thing is gonna scream. -Mark

its and all aluminum 32v from a 98 cobra, it was powder coated black. the swap itself wasnt bad, the headers, the k member, and the tranny mount for the t56 were the only hard things..
