I just picked her up on thursday night and Im SO happy with her.lol
Only downside is im sellin my quad now. But I didnt ride much anymore anyways.
1997
Ford Explorer XLT
5.0 V8 Motor
Leather
Electric seats , p/w , p/dl, p/s , power mirrors , 6 cd changer and more.
AC works but Im goin to put some more freon into it so it cools better
Me and Mike90(Mostly Mike90 , I had no clue what I was doing haha)Cleared the yellow gunk off the headlights and they were good as new !

you know that 5.0 has a thirst for gas.
ps. be careful adding freon. if you overcharge it you will put strain on the compressor and risk blowing it.

Yeah I know. My moms minivan had a bad leak and we'd be needing to put freeon every 3 months or so.
But mine is just low. lol
Were goin to do it at my dads job , they have the tanks there full of the stuff ,lol.
and as for gas.....Publix , here I come. haha
I am goin to have to pay for my gas , insurance , and also for the car as soon as i sell the Z im paying my dad back

Sorry but im not buying that. I also have the 5.0 in my f150 with a 5speed. Drinks gas like no tomorrow. Now, if you want her to sound good, hack the cats and put you a si/do flowmaster 40 on her. Thats what im running and she rumbles like no tomorrow.

Must be your gear package.... Thats weird I know of 2 other explorers of friends or mine, and the worst one on gas is the v6 my buddys 5.0 gets around 20mpg... Not to mention he has 335,000 miles on it and no issues other than the AC.. I have 177,000 on mine I use it for work, Pull a trailer with 400 gal. of water and my only problem has been a fuel pump and water pump...
Anyway MiamiZ400 good truck itll fun forever....
