I couldn't find that last time I went.  Some people told me to look for some little blue banners or something on the powerlines, but never could find them.

Nice pic's, I was there with some friends a week a go, and been in Bluesink many times, but I use my GPS to get there, normally from the woods and not from the main road, there are no sings, you have to ask some body.

By the way, it was the first time I saw Police Patrols (no Rangers) pooling guys in quads and dirt bikes off the road, so you guys try to stay away from the cops, it woldn't be nice to go to Ocala on Wednesday to pay the ticket.  [smiley=banghead.gif]

Thanks Dreth for coming bro. I was glad to see the Ranger didnt press the issue w/ you having your bike there at the blue Sink.
As for the blue banners making the spot, I forget the count on poles but there is a pole roughly 5 1/2 miles or so from Big Scrub towards SR19 that has some sting and something blue hanging from it. At that pole you head North on the trail across from that pole until you come up on a big open spot where you can choose to go left or right. Go right and there is some poles in the ground that keep you from taking your 4 wheeler down to the pit.  Dont get cought w/ your bike back here is all I can tell you....If you cant afford to loose your ride dont go swimming there....

4 of us showed up Friday, then 6 more on Saturday....
Shawn is an excellent trail guide and rides hard enough for those who want to push it a little and soft enough for those who were in the back that couldn't keep up, Mainly one person who decided to bring his girl friend and let her ride on the back of his bike....Other then that we rode  at a moderate pace some spots wide open...Had a blast... Cool

Hey Dreth... I was there at Blue Sink when you took the pics. My sons were the 3 kids. One in Blue shorts on the rope swing. I had the 4week old baby with my wife with us. Camped at Bid Scrub Fri. and Sat. night. Drove the wife in the F-350 back to the lake. Nice talkin' to you there. Look forward to seeing you out again!

This time last year or so I was there w/ 3 friends and we road our quads back in there and the pooper troppers snuck up on us and threatened to take our bikes and slap us w/ a big fine.
They said thet the people on 4 wheelers have no respect for the land and that we were causing the land errosion around the Blue sink swimming area and that soon there would be no grass left around the pit if they didn't put a stop to us riding to it.
I agree w/ their theory but they need to all us to get a little close where we can see our bikes, like Dreth said to the Ranger, Sure you dont want us to have our bikes here but will you (the Ranger) pay for our stolen property when its gone. Of coarse the ranger declined such a great offer. Cool
