Trail marker but don't count on them all the way thru. Concho Billie is 31 miles one way in and one way out. GPS as important as gas. Getting lost is very easy and likley unless you are familar with the trails.

Wildlife is everywhere on this days trip saw 6 deer and many other types of animals and birds

Many diverse trails from swampy cypress to sandy pine trails, but always a lot of water. 2 wheel drives, I wouldn't recommend it.

Thanks for the nice pics. And I agree with Flbaster that is alot of gators, So I guess they don't bother you when you are on a quad. I just never have run ins with gators.

The start of Concho Billie #3 trail head. Permit is required.

All trail heads are gated and locked so don't try and get in as only permit holders have the combo. Permit is $50/yr this is cheaper than getting a ticket for trespassing on federal land.

My standard warning about BC. Do not take this place lightly. I have been stuck 23 miles in from the nearest trail head at night in 2 feet of water. When ever I go I am prepared to spend the night in case of a mishap. Extra fuel, food,water, dry cloths, GPS with topo maps of the park trails. The park has a 24 hour emergency line assuming you can find cellular service which is a big maybe. Have fun but be careful.
