Just got home from the visit over at C&R Motorsports Park. There is a good 1000 feet of length and I would say at least 3 to 4 lanes wide. Lots of room to run and to slow down with out excessive braking. Its going to take some sponsers and volunteers to get this up and running. It is up to us to get this up and running. The gave us the land area to use we have to kind of clear it till it and get up and running. It is going to be our show. There were some quads out there drag racing in the area now. They have no idea whats going to running down that track some time soon. LOL

to join the club???, and how much for a years membership is it gonna be ??
Remember, the club owns the lighting system, and whatever else it purchases!!

matt and i just got back from crmotorsports park today. the land they are giving us is great for a sand drag track. it is real flat and about 1200ft long. the track will advertise the events and help in some ways, but it will be up to us to run the show. there is some clearing of brush on the right side of the track that needs to be done. i have to talked to some racers that own a clearing company and said they would clear everything and till the track. dynodon and troy already offered to help bluid the starter stand. i also have a friend that owns a roofing company and said they would help in anyway and also put the roof on the starter stand. the track has alot going for it, the bestest is the fact that how many people are at crmotorsports on the day of the sand drags. on a normall weekend the place has 4000.00 people. i really want to get this track going but i am going to need all of your help to do so. to get started i will be posting a date where everyone will meet at the track to help get the ball rolling. i will be starting a club for this track. the membership money will go to track equipment and supplys. i dont want to be the owner of this track. i think the club should own this track. this way the money that comes in will go to make the track better and back to the racers. this way not one man keeps all the money.
i need from guys to post if you would like to help and if you would like to be a member of this club. we need alot of help but i think we have a very good opp here. we all pregnant dog about not having a place to race in florida so lets all get off are a$$'s and get this thing going. everyone on here has some really nice drag bikes, but if we cant run them they are not worth a sh!t. four stroke, two strokes, 4x4's, kids, everything will have a class. thank you. call jeff at 239-253-2616 if you need some more info

I am not a track designer by any means. I just finished the reconstruction of Thunderbowl, so maybe I could help, if you needed it, with the surveying and layout for your track? There are several little things to consider. Your clearing contractor is going to "till" the track? I don't know what's there now as far as vegitation, but I don't think you want grass and roots turned down into your sand. All of this material will come up to the top as you race and maintain your track (grass=clumps). I'm not trying to tell you guys your business, but the surface material (grass,roots,etc.)should be stripped and removed. Are you going to use the native sand soil, or are you going to import a sand/clay mix?
Like I said I'm not trying to be a smart a$$ and tend to ya'll's business, I just want you to avoid a lot of simple problems that are a pain in the a$$ later on.

yes they are going to remove the top soil and grass. the sand is perfect. its just not sand it alittle dirt too. could us your help for sure

thank you guys for the support. i cant wait until you see the spot. it all almost ready to race. there is not much that has to be done. right now we are going to need some MONEY support so if you guys want to give some that would be great also. the lighting system is are biggest money out of pocket. i will be looking for sponsers. if you guy know anyone that want to be one let me know. this spot is flat has can be and wide and long has hell. no need for alot of brakes at this track. i said it before but the mass of people that is there is going to be a big help. the owner told matt and i they do truck pulls on saturday. the first one was alright but the second one everyone was lined up and couldnt wait to get hooked up. i think the first race all the people will hear it and will come and see whats up. the second one should bring alot of them in. the amount sports bikes that were there was insane and that was after alot of them went home. lets make it happen

i have talked to united rentals today and they said to go ahead and order anything i want for the track. i have alot of stuff ordered and alot of people giving things to the track. right now i need some hook up on wood. if anyone can get wood please let me know. i do have some people that can get some but need some more. p.s. don i dont mean that kind of wood
