Read in the Paper today..

Judge Anna Diggs Taylor (Dem) ruled that NSA wiretap program ordered to be shutdown.  She states "The public interest is clear in this matter-It is the upholding of our constitution".  The ACLU who brought to this to court, stating wiretapping "impared it's clients constitutional protection", the ACLU finally admits it, their clients must be the terrorist.  The ACLU goes on to say that "It's another nail in the coffin of executive unilateralism", no you jackbutts, it's another nail in the coffin of the United States Citizen!!!

Just like Judge Hastert (Rep) "our terrorist surveillance programs are critical to fighting the war on terror and saved the day by foiling the London terror plot".  Exactly.

I would love to ask the ACLU & Judge Ann Diggs Taylor, what do you think you are doing.  Why are you giving the terrorist the open door.  This is a war, this is not a conventional war.  How do you think the terrorist communicate, sense they are everywhere, they communicate by phone and the web.  But not wire-tapping their conversation, good God we are DONE!  This is nit-wit judge decides to put an end to wire-tapping now, just before the 9-11 anniversary, just after the London terror plot.  Do you really think there are no other plans out there by these damn terrorist to strike again, you better believe it baby.  So what is she going to say, when they strike again, because she stops wire-tapping in the interest of public, and thousand of people die.  {Oh I had to it, because ACLU and defending them, and siding on the side of the Democrats, is more important than protecting the average american citizen.}

The wiretaps has alot to do with our rights, the right to live, the right to be protected, the right to be defended.  These stupid judges protects the rights of the terrorist, these judges along with the ACLU should go to say, Iraq - they can live with their own kind.

Sorry but it just pisses me off, those dumb idiots.  They make it about politics at the cost of innocent citizens.... Angry Angry Angry Angry I say, if the democrats and the democratic judges have their way, well we might as well, just bend over and kiss our a$$ bye-bye..... Angry Angry

I agree 100% with you. If the wire taps do stop, all we can do is hope that as far as the public is concerned they have stopped. Hopefully our black ops will continue them. I have a certain family member who was involved in black ops and other secrets that involve our government. Before he died he told me a little bit about what he did. He let me know that with black ops, there are so many things that go on that many of our congressman and sometimes even the President does not even know about. They know it exists but sometimes they are not even aware of details of certain things. So let's hope the wire taps against alleged terrorists do continue without these idiot judges being made aware of them!

You know, Jaydawg, you are probably right.  I just can't see how it could just be stopped, with so much going on.  The bad thing it would never stand up in anytype of court and you know you would the ACLU all over it.

People, the ACLU is not our friend, but our enemy in so many ways.  We all need to learn what and more importantly who the ACLU really is.  This is no b/s, there have been links to the ACLU and some terrorist groups.  And though it may sound bizzare, and you may say to your self, no way, your nuts.  Just stop and use your imagination for one moment, it makes perfect sense.

Here we are having terrorist threatening are lives, our country and everything we are about.  But yet, the ACLU continues to fight their (terrorist) battles in court for them.  Tell me, do you feel safer now knowing that US Goverment has been ordered to cease all wire-tapping?  Gee, the terrorist are so happy - they see it as a victory - we the American people just sit here, who cares?  You will someday, if this crap ain't stopped.

Shoot...after reading that post and realizing that I'm against government invasion of privacy, I feel like I'm about to be labeled a terrorist.

So...if I'm against letting the government tap whoever they want, whenever they want, am I a terrorist sympathizer?

I feel like crap now! What if I'm a terrorist......I'm so confoooooooooozed.

Besides...doesn't every terrorist know by now not to use phones or email to discuss things that they don't want the NSA to hear?

I think the government should only tap people's phones to see who cheats on their taxes, rides ATV's in illegal places, and break that incredibly complex "drug code" you guys use when you're trying to score some "herbacious woody stem" aka "Maui Waui" aka "The Sticky Icky".

Seems like the government is just using FEAR TACTICS (not that they would ever do that in a democracy) to get you to concede some of your constitutional rights, namely privacy.

Do you really think it's safe after what the Republicans did to Iraq?

I know I wouldn't want to live in THAT new democracy.

If you think that these idot terrorist are still not using phone lines and computers, how in the hell do you think they are communicating.  What just happened in London is a prime example.

We are all entitled to our views, however, I think the timing of this new law is pretty crappy.  Come on, you are going to pass this crap when so much is going on.  Look @9-11, so many phones calls were intercepted and nothing could be done about it.  These terrorist are everywhere, they are.  We need to utilize every means possible to protect ourselves and keep up with what they are planning.  If you think these damn terrorist are done, that is not the case.  And the argument, that going into Iraq has started is this off, come on, don't think for a moment that Sadam did not have himself all up into 9-11.  Come on, the one masion of his they found like this huge painting showing the Trade Centers, and the planes crashing into them.  Hell, he probably had that painted before 9-11, that was his dream.  If you want to believe the media reports that Irag is worse off then before we went in there, tell that too all the people that Sadam tortured and killed, specially women and children.

All I say is look up the facts.  Do an internet seach "who is ACLU", you might just be surprised.

Ummm....I'm gonna guess carrier pigeon, but before I make that my final answer can I use phone a friend, or 50/50?

Nothing happened in London as I recall. (Or are you talking about the police shooting that electrician on the tubes, when they surveilled him and thought he was a terrorist, and it turned out to be the case)

I hear what you're saying, and I don't doubt that terrorists are a "wiley bunch", but I'm not sure I want to give up my privacy based on what seems like a scare tactic. NOW YOUR PRIVACY is a different story, I don't mind them TAPPING YOUR PHONES.

This is probably really gonna get me kicked off this site, but....

I'm a card carrying member of the ACLU.  I've actually have drinks with Anthony Romero, we sit around a plot lawsuits against the current administration, and throw sacks of puppies off bridges into swift running waters when no one is looking....(why do I picture all the members from this forum marching down my streets with torches towards my house, now)

Anyway, I'm all for your right to be wrong, and wouldn't want to disuade you from your dislike of the ACLU, but we do some pretty decent things once in a while.

BTW, I took your suggestion on doing an internet search, and this is what I found....http://www.iraqbodycount.net/

"Those numbers are getting up there."  (But I guess we don't count those)

Who the hell cares?  If some jackass FBI/CIA/NSA/WhoeverA wants to listen to my phone messages, look at my emails, then I only have one thing to say; knock yourself out!!!!  I guarantee they will be bored to tears.  The way I look at it, the only ones who should be worried about someone listening in are those that have something to worry about.  This isn't about listening in to what John Doe is saying about Jane.  This is about people who need to be listened to (read: Achmed talking to Osama).  Whether you want to believe it or not, the government has better things to do with their time than listening in on some nitwit who's cheating on his taxes/wife/girlfriend/boyfriend/etc.  The USA has real enemies and they are fighting a new style of warfare.  The British complained that the treasonous seperatists in the colonies back in the late 1700's (OUR war for indpendance) were fighting a new, unconventional, immoral war because we hid behind trees and berms rather than line up 20 yards away from each other and shoot until the last man was standing.  Had they the common sense to get behind a tree themselves, they could have fought a war they could win.  The same thing stands today; if we stick to the same old conventional tactics used in previous wars to fight this enemy who's using unconventional, immoral tactics that we won't/can't adapt to, then we will lose as well.  I'm not giving up any liberties with this wiretapping; I have nothing worth listening to.  Do you?

I like the comparison between the unconventional tactics of the revolutionists and the current situation. Kudos for that.

But it's really not the point about the content of the conversation...(I'm sure my convo's are just as mundane as yours... "How much do you want for the rainbow dyed gerbils?" "How much for the non declawed ones, I want this to be as painful as possible")

I want my constitutional rights. RIGHT TO PRIVACY. It's just that simple.

The government can fight terrorism in a host of other ways, but not at the expense of my CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS.

Democrat...Republican...what's the difference....they're both gonna make decisions based on YOUR behalf but in THEIR best interests.

Politicians suck. I wish we had a true democracy where your vote actually counted.

I have to agree w/Rico. The Gestapo and the KGB used to use the same tactics. If I want to have a private conversation Big Brother should kave nothing to do with it. Especially if I'm bashing the government for any one of it's royal screwups. Freedom of speech is a delicate thing that can be used to your advantage or to put you in the gulag.

For those of you that think anything is going to change with the Dems in power, you're only fooling yourself.  The rhetoric they puke out is just that; a bunch of vile lies.  When it comes to national security, the Dems will do whatever it takes to protect this country just as the Republicans are doing now.  The main difference you might see between Jackasses in power and Elephants in power is in social programs and tax structure.  The Jackasses want a social welfare system structured in such a way that it perpetuates generation after generation of professional couch potatoes.  Elephants just want them to get off their asses, go to work and take some responsibility for themselves.  As for national security, you can be sure that should the Dems win, shortly after they take office they will start claiming that they can't rush any withdrawal, shouldn't change what works in the intelligence arena, and so on and so forth.  The rhetoric they're puking out right now is to try to win the vote.  It's only lip service to those who want to hear it.  Nothing more, nothing less.

1st As for the ACLU, sure when the orginally started they may of hide great things in mind, but they have gone just way to far.  Everything should be an of equal intent, but the ACLU now goes against to core of this Country.  Let's just take the issue of "In God We Trust" or "One Nation Under God", sorry ACLU read your history, re-read the Declaration of Indepence, this is what this Country was founded under.  The battles the ACLU raises, puts the so far on the left, that it doesn't even make sense.

ACLU and Terrorist:  1) The ACLU opposes American civilians assisting in border patrol, yea I can see how the ACLU has argument there, thats for the better of America.  If we don't protect our borders, then anyone can come, a terrorist will use any means to gain access to this Country.  2) ACLU opposes profiling of suspected terrorist.  Again, what worked in the past don't work now.  How many terrorist do you see are long blond hair, blue eyed woman, or 80 year old grandma's.  No most terrorist are of Arab decent, not to say all Arab decent are bad, but if the Goverment has to give up profiling, the that just leaves a bigger whole.  3) ACLU opposes military tribunals to try captured terrorist. 4) ACLU opposes the sharing of information about suspected terrorist, actually sued New York State from participating in a Multistate Anti-terrorism Information Exchange (Excusses Nit-wits what did we learn from 9-11, the sharing of information is crucial to weed out the terrorist.  5) ACLU want's terrorist released from Guantanamo Bay - yea I can see how this keeps us safer.

I could go on & on...  How about the links w/Attorneys and Board Members of the ACLU whom publicly admit to financing Hezbollah.  Or another Board Member of the wonderful ACLU headed an organization, where two men where indicted as members of the Detroit Al-Qaeda terror cell, this organization was a job training organization, for what, commercial driving lessons and attempted to get HazMat hauling Certificates.  Oh yea, kinda of funny that Detroit connection again, remember is was District Court of Detroit that just banned the US from Wire Tapping.

Rico - what London thing.  Come on, open your eyes.  Everyone knows the, oh just where they arrested about 20 people who wanted to blow up planes.  Come on, give me a break.

Yes, I don't like it to be about politics, but it is.  The judge who made the ruling, (Dem) appointed by Carter.  Democrats are claiming this a victory!!!!

WE ARE AT WAR, it is time to face the fact.  This is a war that MUST be won.  As previously mentioned here, the US Gov could care less what you and I talk about, we are conspiring to blow up planes, buildings and kill innocent people.  Is it an invasion of Privacy, sure it is, but only for those terrorist, it is not an invasion of my privacy.  Like the ACLU said, (wire-tapping) "it impairs the rights of their clients", hell, the only one wiretapping impairs is the terrorist, so their clients must be the terrorist.

People, the writting is on the wall.

Don't believe ACLU has terrorist ties, read this article, very interesting.  Still don't believe, I could give you more articles.  The ACLU days are numbered, bcz the average citizen is getting sick of their crap.  They fight against christians, they fight for the terrorist, they fight for the right to gay marriage:  Now we must fight to defend this country.
