Splitting cost for truck gas, quad gas, food, drinks for a weekend it costs me $100-150/weekend.  And that's preparing all meals at home ahead of time and taking turns cooking.  If I did it solo it would cost me $200/weekend.  That's w/o a hauler or generator.

Take into account I have to run 93 octane in the quad and to fill up a 6 gallon jug it's around $40.  And I ride 150+ miles/ weekend.

Since they've taken away all the spots to ride that are close by, I have a round trip tank of Gas which is about 60 bucks, 20 bucks worth of fuel, oil, and oil filter (I change out pretty much after each ride) for the Quad.  Fluids to keep me hydrated and snacky cakes are another 15-20 bucks depending on what I eat for lunch.

So I'm up over $100.00 bucks.  Just for a day trip.

Now if I go where there is a track fee, or entry fee, add that...

If I go on an overnighter...you can forget about it. Charcoal, beer, Steaks, side items, Ice, More gas, it gets up near $200.00

I wish there was a place here in Lakeland where I could just go and ride for a couple hours and keep it under $50.00 but there's not. At least not that I can ride at legally.

Anywhere between 50-200 depending where we go. Fuel is our biggest issue. Espically the extra tanks - gas/oil mix only one tank, the other 2 regular gas.

Ocala can get up to 150-200 just for a day trip coming from Clwtr..that includes gas for the truck, top of the quad tanks, fill the extra tanks, oil to mix with gas, food and drinks for 2 adults 1 child.

Croom we have gotten away pretty cheap 50-100 bucks, gas for truck, top off quads, fill extra tanks, lunch, snacks, make ice tea to bring.

However everytime we ride no matter where we go - I never leave the grocery store for less than 50.00 so the total number could be higher than what I said. Shoot it costs 2.29 a bag of Ice now times that by 4-5 to fill the cooler. Thats almost 13.00 alone in just Ice!!

I'd say about $175-200 for an overnighter or weekend and $100 if I go for a day ride.

I am w/you miamigirl, there aint no way I can even get out the door without spending atleast $100.00 - lol

But no in all seriousness, we spend the money!!!  There is no way we could do for under $250.00 - not for a weekend trip - shoot I can't even do $100.00 for a day trip - let's see -3 atv's + additional 10 gallons of gas
Fill truck up - forget it... about $80.00
Food, drinks, ect ....

Just forget it if we take our motorhome, time re-fi the house....

You all are good if you can do it under $250.00 - But man what do you eat.....

Lets see, I usually have to fill up the Diesel Truck thats around 90.00 before I take off, and if I'm lucky I will still have some fuel left when I'm back from werever I go. If not there goes about another 60.00. Than there goes the cost of gas for the two bikes I say around 25.00 and thats not even race fuel, and if the bikes are empty.

Now goes the cost of drinks and food cause most likey I'm going to the track. That around another 50.00 thats inclulding food, drinks, and ice.

And than the cost of track fees thats around 20.00 to 30.00 without track memberships, and thats cost is for each me and my son.

Oh I forgot the oil to change out on the bikes to keep the maintenance up 30.00 for two bikes.

Lets add this up 90.00

                            25.00
                            50.00
                            30.00
                             30.00
                          total 235.00

Of course for the kids the last line looks more like this:

Watching your parents go broke priceless.
Watching you parents spend your college education to play w/ you priceless.
Not have to pay the freaking bill priceless.

There are some things you can do and some you can do better when someone else is footing the bill.  Parents, they'll pay for every where you want to be.

All of you forgot to ameratize the cost of the actual vehicles, bikes, gear, hauler ect.  My truck payment is 800 per month.  The trailer was 6500 and the three bikes are 35k and up.  Add it up and divide it over five year period and then get the real numbers.  Our hobby is expensive, period.

Truck 48k
Bikes  35k
Trailer 6k
Gear    2k
Total before I can go $91,000.  Now add in the little stuff.  My cost is roughly 1516 per month just to own the stuff not including insurance and the cost of using and maintaining it.

Thats it, I am selling it all. Huh Huh Huh

800 per month/30=26.66 per day.  Plus depretation, maintence, insurance, fuel, ect, ect, ect....................................LOL

What the hell, its just money. Roll Eyes
