South Florida Water Management & the Department of Environmental Protection try to request another 30 day extension. Collier County Commissioners said "NO". Three years have passed since the agreement between SFWM & Collier County and it looks like this is going to the courts. All 5 commissioners were on our side.
The sad part about it ... there were only 3 OHV anthusiast, and that's including me. We need more support from you guys.
This is the only way we are going to get our promised OHV area.

We all knew they were stalling because there is no intention on honoring the intial deal.
As for the low turn out , a few things .
I think there may have been some confusion with the meeting cause some said the meeting was cancelled ?.
The more important meeting was last month ,commissioners seen a room full .
I guess last and the main reason for the low turn out would be the expectation of what just happened , they need more time. We all knew that was coming .
You are right though , high turn out is a must with some of this issues. If politicians dont see people passionate about their issues, why should they bother when they have other agendas to tend to .
