Im jacked!  Grin It was my 2nd MX race ever! I entered the Quad B class with about 5 other quads, including some guy that was there on one of Tim Farr's bikes he bought!  I smoked the holeshot in the first heat!  Thumbs Up   I pulled the Baldwin motor 5 bike lengths to the hole on wore out tires! Did every jump except the big double in the 1st heat and won.  First Place  I was pretty jacked up! 2nd heat (after I put some tires on with actual rubber still left on them) I got the holeshot again and led the first 3 1/2 laps except this time I was doing the big double so it was easier to actually maintain the lead! It takes more out of you to single them than to go ahead and jump it!  But then my chain came off and I got a DNF! Angry   Kinda sucked, but I was stoked!

Woody450R  did excellent considering that he is on a stock quad! I would look for that kid to get better as he continues to ride and modify his quad!

Anyway, I wish more of you guys were there and I had alot of fun!  Its awesome when you just have fun doing this sport! No pressure to win! Just good clean racing! Grin Grin

Good job JT! I didn't think many quads raced out there b/c noOne ever talked about racing there. Was there any turnouts for the other classes?

Quad- I was racing the 05' 450R.  MY TT QUAD!  Dont quite have the 06' ready yet!

Rob-  There was 3 C riders and 4 B riders in the first moto! A few guys showed up late and were allowed to race the 2nd moto. I think we had 9 or 10 riders in the 2nd moto! I wont be racing for a couple of weeks because of open of Mini Season for lobster, and then opening of regular season for lobster!  But after the first week of August I should be able to ride and race.  You should go to Bartow and race with us as well.  Lyndon said you were getting better, and that he thought you should compete well.  You would be proud of the old man though, I aint half bad at this MX thing. After 1 heat at Lakeland, I was hitting everything out there and getting faster! I am loving it and having fun. No pressure to win like at the TT Tracks. Just need some long travel and steering stabilizer! Grin

thats great JT! Rob has been saying that we need to get back to the fun and forget about always wanting to win. if you win thats great, but if you get a DNF on the last lap because your chain comes off then oh well.

good job OLD MAN Wink

Woody450R  did excellent considering that he is on a stock quad! I would look for that kid to get better as he continues to ride and modify his quad!

When you say stock do you mean bare bone stock or modded a little (suspension, tires, nerfs).  The reason I ask is that I plan on taking my completely stock (besides cherry bomb) (LT R450)to the mx track this weekend for practice.  I ordered Por Amor fat peg nerfs but they will not be here until 10 days or so.   Huh

I raced for about 1-2 months before my nerfs came in. They were on back order forever!! Woody has nerfs and tires same stuff I have pretty much. The only thing you need is a helmet and boots. As well as a kill switch.
