Everyone give me your opinion on the best boots for around $200. Dont want to go all out and get some amazing $400 pair but i wouldnt mind paying around 200 for something comfortable and more protective/durable.

thanks!

I have Elements too and like them.  Just my opinion, but I just can't see spending $300 on boots that are going to get dirty and pulverized on the first use like mine do, unless the rider only uses them on sissy rides  Laugh

i must have gotten a defective set of alpines then. because my tech 8's buckles are ripped off sides peeled off bottoms are ripping. last set i will ever wear.

the one thing about boots or parts for that matter is how good the company stands behind them. I bought a pair of tech 6 for my wife. the first weekend one of the straps broke we called alpinestar they sent all new straps for the boots, overnited them free of charge havent had a problem since. with service like that I dont need any other boots.

My b/f has the Tech 8 Alpinestars and his buckles ripped too, he has only wore them like 4 times. For 300 bucks you would think they would not fall apart with less than 5 rides on them. He agress there are very very comfortable but they should not be falling apart already.

I have Fox Forma Pros, and they are just great, they offer support, they seem extremely durable, and they are very very comfortable.  I got them slightly used for $100, thanks to SwampDonkey.

awesome, got a lot of good brands to choose from. Thanks everyone for posting!

Yours do look really comfortable Randall (vectors), but what kind of support do they give you? they dont SEEM to be very strong, but looks can be deceiving.

too bad there isnt a "boot" store around here or somethin so i could actually try them on haha.

thanks again everyone

Trying them on before you buy them is definitely good advice.  I have had a pair of O'neal Elements for over a year and a half.  They're not falling apart, but are not real comfortable.  My next (not sure what brand yet) will have a cleated sole, rather than a slick dirtbike type stye sole (slick)-which my Oneal elements are.  Most of the time when I am off my quad, I'm needing some traction for my feet!!

Thank you for your post. I called Alpinestar and same thing they are sending all new straps. They let me know that I would have to take them to a shoe store to have them put on, or they would pay the shipping and I can send them the boots.

Outstanding customer service and very friendly !!  Grin

Idont care how dirty they get , just how comfortable they are, and how long they last. and as far as sissy rides lets see you race for 2 hours in the b class and finish in the top 3 to five positions most of the races at 41 years of age
