well if all your getting is your permit then well if u kno what a solid line in a road and the a dotted line means, and well like a yield sign, stop sign, merge sign, narrow bridge sign, they are self explanitory in the picture plus also its all multiple choice u pick from abcd so its not that hard lol, i just got my licence at the end of this summer and got my permit the end of the summer before so well it hasnt been that long since ive taken the easy test, i think most 5 year old kids could probly pass it lol, no offence if u dont pass it  Tongue

Yes the sign part is common sense for the most part, but there are a couple off the wall ones. They also ask questions about multiple lanes of traffic and school bus stops and such. You will be better off with the book. Contrary to what the peanut gallery has said there is useful info in it. You can go to any local DMV or put FL DMV in your search engine and their site should come up.

Thanks for the info guys but I just found this site driversed.com

I suggest anyone use it if your about to get your permit Wink

you can take practice tests and stuff on it but there where only like 4 road signs some of them actually were NOT common sence like turn your wheel towards a curb if your UPHILL.DOWNHILL or FLAT? I dont know that Embarrassed

If you're pionting downhill and your car starts to roll (In florida?) you want the tires to run into the curb instead of into the street, thereby stopping your car. Sounds logical to me.

I think there are some tricky ? on the test like safe following distances and braking distances. My nephew is about to take the test and he quizzed me. I failed and I'm 34. LOOK OUT I'm on the road. Grin

hey buddy judt go down to the dmv and they'll give you a book. Or if mom wont take you twice(once for the book and once for the test) then call them and they will mail you one. Might take a week or two knowing them! Good luck on the test and yeah its alot of common sense but they throw in a few questions that you might actually have to know from experience.....or from readin the book.....so stick to your guns and read through the book a lil. at least read the parts you arent familiar with.

Get the book and read it, and read it again. I am tired of seeing people of all ages not knowing the rules of the road, LAWS. Stopping for a school bus, 4 way stop when the light is not working, person to the right has the right of way, person making right turn has right of way, STAY TO THE RIGHT, no lane changing before or after a light, look and you will see the solid line. This is just to name a few. Good luck, and become a safe and knowledgable driver, we need more.

My #1 forgotten rule: When entering a main road for a side road, passing vehicles have the right of way.
