I know up in Astor (about 25-30 miles east) of Big Scrub which is FR 588 and FR 573 they have a hotel and some cabins. Only other place I can think of is near Silver Springs or Salt Springs. Oh and there is a place called Ocala Forest Campground that rents trailers by the day and I think you can still ride out of there and go down the road to the forest. The guy there told me he let's people ride out but I'm not sure if that was part of that 8,000 acres they closed off where you enter the forest. PM Ida Mann if this doesn't work. I believe he lives down that way. Good luck.

Ocala Forest Campground has a pool. Give them a call and check with the seminole district ranger to see if it's ok to ride in from 42. The campground is on Hwy. 42 in Altoona I think.

If you are riding the Big Scrub area...try this place.

http://www.camprrm.com/Dorr.htm

It's Lake Dorr Cabin.  Call them and see  if it is available (Don't be fooled by the lottery system on their website, call to see if it's open)

It has 4 bunk beds, one master suite, and two pull out couches, it's on a beautiful lake, with it's own private 90' dock.

It comes with canoes, a fire pit, a grill, fireplace, and it's only a 5 minute ride to the entrance to Ocala national forest.

Check that link for pictures.

Peace Out
- Uncle Rico
(Don't forget to bring Jet Skis or a boat if you have it) Nothing like de-dirtifying after a hard day of riding in a nice cool lake.
