The place was closed, and I probably shouldn't have even gone in.  But I parked the truck at a little boat ramp on the other side of the street and walked in, since there was a gate at the entrance of the track.  It took me a while to find it, though I had already seen the area before, I didn't know that it was the track.  This is less than a mile south of the Fish Camp on Krome.  It's about 2 miles south of the intersection of US-27 and Krome.  To me, it doesn't seem like they're ready to open.  They have one big track, looks kinda supercrossy, and they seem to have a peewee track going too.  There was no one there, I kinda just walked in and snapped pictures.

Here is the entrance, has the colorful banner things.

This is the only building on the land, seems deserted to me kinda.

Here's the peewee track they seem to have going. (Next two pictures)

That's all the pics I got.  I was so nervous when I was there all by myself, I kept thinking that some grandpa owner of the track was gonna pop out of somewhere and shoot me with his shotgun lol.

Looks more like a homemade track than a real deal big one.  I'm still gonna go though, it's fairly near, and hopefully it won't be too crowded, with a cheap entry fee, and I can learn a little track riding on my bike.

Some of the old south fla residents might remember it, that's old Thompson Park .
It use to be an RV park till the 1980's then the county shut it down.
Not sure if this is still county owned or private, most likely its still county owned.

Didn't see an area for a mud pit.  There was a small pond, but that couldn't be it because it's so dry right now, that pond is meant to be a pond.  I didn't really have THAT of a good look around because I didn't wanna walk the entire area when I wasn't even supposed to be there.  There may very well be a mud pit there, though I didn't see it.

Thats awsome!  This place is like 10 minutes from my house.  Finaly, after they closed down Air Dania, the closest track to my house was Seminole, but that is like 2 hours from my house.  I cant wait till they open this track up.

i went there and talked to the owner last week. He is a really cool guy. i think his name is john. He gave me and my buddy a grand tour. We went on top of that building and he showed us the track from start to finish. '

Personay i think it is a more quad friendly track because the dirtbikes will be having to slow down. Its really slick track. He has some really really big burms and i mean huge. They are having a 300ft sand drag and a mud bog.

Its more family oriented and is not going to have as much of a race scene as seminole.]

All in all i think it is going to be a kick a$$ track. it opens up june 3rd and i hope to see lots of people out there!!!

It was an Rv park then it became a boy scout camp. I use to camp there about 6 years ago. when i was a wee little tike.   great fishing in that pond when the water is a little higher.

its really dusty right now but by Sat. they will have a watering system for the track.
I only wish they would put some nice dirt down over the track instead of ground up palm tree's.

I was there sat and sunday on my 05 trx450, buddy was riding his 06 crf230. This was my 1st time at a track and for a beginner track rider was not that bad. To bad my buddy was clearing the first table and landed past the landing, suspension bottom out pogoed his ass off and something put a nice hole in the clutch cover spilling his oil... needless to say i think he needs a better suspended bike. This track is good for beginners sharpining their skills, or for beginners who never been to the track and mabey are alittle intimidated to start at seminole. Track workers are friendly and seems like a good family environment. thats my 2cents.

I was at that new track a couple of weeks ago. ITs not that bad considering how close it is to my house. im just worried about race day and how the hole shot is going to work out. i see alot pile ups at county line in the future.
