Pretty much all the aftermarket shock companies are an improvement over stock.  I don't think you can go wrong no matter which you choose, as long as it's set up for your weight/riding.  People will claim one is better than the other, but it's a matter of preference and how much you want to pay.  My opinion of course

What kind of riding do you do and what are you looking to spend? Anything aftermarket is better than stock if you are just trail riding and want better but don't want to spend a lot. Works shocks would be fine for that.

If you want to start racing then I would go with Fox Shox or PEP. They are relatively the same price range. PEP's are a much longer wait though.

lol thanks so much for your input #45..... there are lots of good shocks out there. I just put my stadiums on my bike and they are amazing, and i wouldnt trade them for any elkas out there....

Custom axis is made by penske racing...i would think that says a lot...leading edge racecar suspension technology?

i love stadiums. Grin they get my vote. Cool and i owned 2 sets of elkas ridden on axis and pep and the only one that came close to compare was pep. but thiers just something about that loooonnnnnggggg wait. Roll Eyes

fox are cheaper than some of the other brands out right now, i just got mine in and i am waiting for the a arms, i have the evols but i will let you know how they are in about a week  Wink

Progressive 6th had good reveiws.  Ohlins sounds nice, alot of pro's run them, they are part owned by yamaha....But any aftermarket shock is better than stock. Theyre are almost too many too choose from  Huh Huh...But thats good in a way
