A Mothers Love to the END

She prepared her home carefully and with precision. The time came when she settled in for the duration. The eggs came and she sat on them for weeks being fed by her spouse one morsal at a time. The day came and 2 new young ones were hatched. This was the day before Mothers Day. We watched and talked to her daily giving her a goodmorning, good day, how are they coming? She died a violent death last night. Her body and remnants were spread around the bush at our front door. The 2 babies were on the ground, alive, shivering and facing inevitable death as well. She was a dove. A wonderfull, beautiful creature. She died protecting her children. She could have flown to safety but chose to stay and fight, and lost. My wife and 8 year old son took the babies to a bird santuary for possibly a second chance at life. A mothers love is the strongest love in the world except for the love Jesus has for us. Even us sinners, myself as well. For you Mothers out there, You are something very special, and If you did not call mom yesterday, do it today. Have a blessed day.
