Ocala Forest Campgrounds raising prices on June 1

I was told yesterday by a ONF Ranger that the prices to stay at Big Scrub is going from $6 to $12 effective June 1. This is to pay for the bathroom and showers. I have my own in my toy hauler thank you very much but oh well what can you do. I thought about those yearly passes but she said she didn't think they were issuing them anymore. Don't quote me on that though. I hear that it will be for the leveling and upgrades to the campground as well. I was at Delancy for a short time Friday and it is nice and shady but sandy as hell. In just a short time I was there everything was dust covered. From what I've heard they will eventually connect the Delancy trails to Big Scrub trails. If this is so then they will need to get both campgrounds equal so people will stay at both. Delancy is an hour closer to me so I'm hoping they will make it better.
