i have a stock muffler on my 300ex but sadly it has a large whole from rust on the end and back fires pretty bad so all im looking to do is buy another stock exhaust

so i went on ebay motors and found a 250EX muffler practically new for cheap but will this fit and correspond with my 300ex head pipe and engine?

let me know if you know anything about the subject

thanks a bunch

Honestly its not worth the money for a new one, just buy a cheap slip-on...

As for your question I do not know if it will fit...

well since a 300 ex is basically a 250 ex with a different cam, and bore kit, i guess it will fit, but i dont want to give you fasle info and break your new quad so dont go by what i say, find the facts!

i wouldnt think that a 250ex pipe would fit on a 300ex the header is very tiny on the 250, the diameter of the pipe is probly too small

Call a dealer and have them check part numbers for both quads. Then there will be no question.

no i belive that the 300ex engine is actualy a 250X engine with a longer stroke

The 250ex is a recon motor. The 300ex is not.

18310-HM3-000 (300ex muffler)
 18300-HN6-000 (250ex muffler)

They are both different. The 300ex has one mounting bracket. The 250ex has two.

250ex wont work.

It actually depends on the year of your bike. The ones I had posted were for a 2005.

I think the previous years were one mount, but they arent bent right for a 250ex.

What do you consider cheap? You can find pipes that people have taken off of their bikes to put on full exhausts.

I would keep checking ebay because I dont think many people here have 300ex's

alot of stock pipes on ebay sell for like 20-30$, just keep lookin and u will probly find one, stock pipes sell for cheap, unless u go to the dealer and then they want more than a new aftermarket lol
