your going to be sorry when it comes off and binds up in the front sprocket or wors in your engine Lips Sealed plus when its loose it can rip the teeth off.

thats true but im sure it wont toghten up that much also when you lift up on the back end it gets looser. with my bike having more travel than yours i have to keep my chain perfect.

plus i hat that sound of my chain being loose. it feels like its going to break Tongue

The chain should have 1 1/4" to 1 3/8" of slack.

Really good pic's. Bike looks good, plus it seems like your pretty good at photography too, so it makes it look even better. Way to keep it lookin clean.

I don't know if you are aware of the problem with the 05 and 06 Z400/KFX400/DVX400. They changed the clutch cover material to magneseum. The 2004 cover is aluminum. The water from the coolant corodes away the magneseum cover. Eventually mixing the oil and coolant and causing engine damage. Not to mention the damage to the cooling system from all the metal fragments flowing throught it. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but here is a link to Z400 Central. You need to cotact the dealer to see if they will change it for free. If not I would do it myself. The parts are between $110 and $170 dependind on if you get a discount on the parts of not.

There isn't a problem with the LTR450 as far as I know.

Replace that cover ASAP with a 2004 one, it is alumunum. Slowly if is eating away at the magnesium cover. In the process it is circulating all the little metal particals that have been eaten away through your cooling system. Clogging up your radiator journals. Not to mention it slowly working it's way into the clutch side so it can mix with the engine oil.
