On thursday I fell from a sitting position height of about 3' and without any time to brace myself with my arms or even try to stop it from happening,,,I ended up going head-first onto concrete.

Bit my tongue, jammed my jaw somehow, bruised my right shoulder and put a serious knot on the top/back of my head.  It took me a minute or two to gather myself enough to even get up to a sitting position and that's saying nothing about the pain.

Now, Friday I was nearly normal, just hurting a bit and busy so I guess I didn't notice, but all day today I have had the headache from he11, that seems like the hangover from he11 that won't go away even with a double-dose of advil.  Yes I've even got the extreme sensitivity to light, and a slight dizzyness.

and the question is,,,anyone think I'm working on a concussion?  I had a slight one before(so I was told by the doctor) and never felt a thing,,,but this is worse.

If I'm not better by tomorrow morning, I'm headed to the doctor.

If it were me, I would go....not wait.

I'm not in the medical profession but I do know that some of the symptoms of a concussion is dizziness and lightheadedness.

SHould go get it checked out but probably your brain shifted and some of your brain cells can uproot basically. Mainly the brain is healing which is why you have a headache. But get it checked out anyway.

I called a paramedic friend of mine and he was basically telling me to go tonight as well, but I'm not gonna drag my daughter out of bed.

parent's are coming in the morning and I'm going to centra-care when they open.

I'll post here after,,,,if I remember how ;-)

of course,,,,could be whiplash as well because I was told that my neck went to a rather extreme angle when I "landed",,,,at least I have witnesses about all this for the work comp end of things.........I'm convinced I just need to stay AWAY from the orange county convention center  Roll Eyes

He fell from a sitting position height of about 3', It sounds to me like he fell off a bar stool. Cheesy

The symtoms sound like a concusion Nathan, You definitely need to go to the Dr TODAY. Please fill us in as soon as you can. I know a bunch of us are a bit worried.

Keep in mind, I'm no Dr, But I did stay at a Holiday Inn express last night.

Hey you-da-man, this is Mrs.328i  Bang Head

Here is my advise from my favorite Doctor, Theordore Webb, MD. see below:

http://orthopedics.about.com/od/sportsinjuries/a/concussion.htm?iam=momma_100_SKD&terms=%22concussion%22

hope this helps - and I agree w/all these people - go to the doctor asap.  Mr. Honda328i and I hope that all turns out well, and we are quite confused why we didn't get a phone call or a personal email....hmmmm I thought we were friends?   Yup!

If we don't hear from you that all is well, we'll have to make a personal visit.... 3 Stooges  <----- honda family w/mr. idaman in the middle.

praying for you - really Smiley  If you need help call my dh and we'll see what we can do (childcare, grand auto theft, etc)

Mr. and Mrs......Honda.

OK, report from the "doc" is that there's no fracture, but I have a mild concussion and he gave me a prescription for celebrex along with some Flexoril for the spasms he said he felt in my neck/shoulder which was causing the pain there,,,,,should be a fun night and the celebrex has not kicked in yet.

thanks all for the well wishes.

this may be my last post of the evening,,,,I love muscle relaxers ;-)
